For an Extra $400, You Might as Well Buy the 2024 GMC Sierra Elevation

The GMC Sierra Elevation is only slightly more expensive than the SLE

The 2024 GMC Sierra starts its lineup with the Pro model, which is the base version. It begins at $46,700, according to GMC. The next level up from that is the SLE, which you can get for approximately $54,800 before destination and other charges.

The next trim available is the Elevation, which comes with a price tag of $55,200, which is only $400 more than the SLE version. Beyond that is the SLT model, which comes with a price of $57,900, while the AT4 and the AT4X come with price tags of $66,100 and $79,200.

Topping the lineup are the Denali trim and the Denali Ultimate version. The Denali is priced at $69,900 to start, and the Denali Ultimate, which is basically a fully loaded pickup, comes with a price tag of $82,500.

How different are the two models?

The two trim levels that are closest in price are the SLE and the Elevation. With the SLE model, you get a multipro tailgate, keyless start, 17-inch wheels, chrome front and rear bumpers, a rear-wheel drivetrain, and the 2.7-liter four-cylinder TurboMax engine, which produces 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. Paired with it is an eight-speed automatic transmission, which lets the vehicle get 18 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway, according to the Department of Energy.

You’ll also get an HD surround vision camera system, a 10-way power driver seat, and three-year access to On-Star. It comes with the GMC Pro Safety package, which is a suite of features such as automatic emergency braking, buckle-to-drive, front pedestrian braking, forward collision alert, and lane-keeping assist to name a few.

The Elevation trim offers the same as the SLE model, but it adds a few new features. You get 20-inch black-colored aluminum wheels, LED fog lamps, body-colored front and rear bumpers, and a rear window defogger.

Is the GMC Sierra pickup a good choice?

The 2024 GMC Sierra looks to be a good choice. While the standard 2.7-liter engine is average in power output, you still have three other options to choose from for the SLE and the Elevation. You can add the 3.0-liter turbo diesel producing 305 hp, a 5.3-liter V8 generating 355 hp, and a 6.2-liter V8 producing 420 hp. Paired with the available engines is a 10-speed automatic transmission.

With its big truck bed, measuring 79.44 inches, there’s plenty of room for hauling items around. Plus, you get tons of tie-down points, so whatever you haul will be secured. Even the cabin is big. It offers 44.53 inches of front legroom and 43.40 inches of legroom for the rear seats.

As for the other trim levels, you get two choices of off-roading vehicles, the AT4 and the AT4X models. The Denali and Denali Ultimate are your high-end luxury versions, but they do come at a pretty high price.

The 2024 GMC Sierra SLE model is a nice choice to have. However, if you spend a mere $400 more, you could get an even better one that comes with larger wheels, a rear window defogger, and some interesting exterior styling pieces.
