It’s a miracle. Prayers are being answered by the 2022 Ford Bronco Sasquatch. After months of bargaining, fans will finally be able to pair the Ford Bronco Sasquatch with a manual transmission. Now they’ll have more control with the most capable off-roading package. 

The 2022 Ford Bronco Sasquatch gains a manual option 

The 2022 Ford Bronco order books are officially open, and buyers can celebrate a win. The Ford Bronco Sasquatch package is finally available with a manual gearbox. This is an option people have wanted since day one. 

This is an unexpected change after the Bronco has struggled against a few different problems. There is the ongoing semi-conductor chip shortage, supply shortages, hardtop issues, and an airbag recall. The manual Sasquatch wasn’t expected until 2023 but has been confirmed for 2022! 

How to pair the Bronco Sasquatch with the manual transmission 

To get the 2022 Ford Bronco Sasquatch package with a manual transmission, then you need to pair it with the Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, or Badlands trim. This excludes the Out Banks and Wildtrak options, according to The Drive. But the package is standard on the Wildtrak.

The off-road package can only be paired with the 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine. It provides 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque, which is plenty of power. However, the 2.7-liter V6 engine pumps out 330 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque. 

Within about two weeks, the 2022 model-year Build & Price tool and ordering system will be available. If you’ve signed up for updates, then Ford will email you when it goes lives. Also, 2022 models are expected to be delivered in the first quarter of 2022. 

If you want the Bronco Sasquatch with the manual transmission, delivery timing will depend on a few different things. For example, your reservation time stop, vehicle model and configuration, part availability, and the amount of Bronco models your dealership receives could impact your waiting time. 

Is the Bronco Sasquatch package worth buying? 

The Ford Bronco Sasquatch package costs about $4,995 on its own. But you have to add the Advanced 4×4 package for $795 too. The cheapest Sasquatch model with the base model is about $37,300 if you don’t have other bells and whistles added. 

For comparison’s sake, the two-door Jeep Wrangler Rubicon costs about $38,875, and the four-door model increases the price to about $42,375. 

The Sasquatch package includes 35-inch Goodyear mud-terrain tires paired with 17-inch bead-lock-capable wheels. You also get Dana front and rear-locking axles and increased ground clearance. 

Along with Bilstein shocks, you get a two-inch wider track and wider fender flares. The max crawl ratio with the seven-speed manual transmission is 94.75:1. For those planning to take their Bronco’s on extreme adventures, then it’s most likely worth it. 

The Badlands trim adds an exclusive suspension with a hydraulic sway-bar disconnect. Also, the Wildtrack time includes upfitter switches, vinyl seats, a steel rear bumper, and a heavy-duty front bumper.
