Ever since the Ford Bronco reemerged onto the automotive scene, fans of the vehicle have been taking advantage of its off-roading capabilities. Now, Ford has introduced a package available on the Bronco to make those off-roading activities even easier. If you’re curious to learn more about what the Sasquatch Package has to offer, read on.

A look at the new Ford Bronco

The new Ford Bronco is a powerful SUV, offering a 2.3L engine capable of at least 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque with premium fuel. The base model starts at a relatively affordable $30,800, with seating for four or five people depending on whether you choose the two-door or four-door version. You also get a choice of a seven-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic. 

Other standard features on the Ford Bronco include post-collision braking, an electric parking brake, and Electric Power-Assisted Steering (EPAS). Four-wheel disc brakes with Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Electronic Stability Control are also standard on the SUV. 

The Ford Bronco also offers several standard features to make your life easier. Examples include remote keyless access with push-start button, an 8-inch color LCD instrument panel, and a manual day/night rearview mirror. There are also sliding visors and vanity mirrors on both the passenger and driver’s sides (though we don’t recommend using the latter while driving). 

Finally, standard entertainment options on the Bronco include wireless Apple Carplay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility,  SiriusXM® with 360L, SYNC® 4, and FordPass Connect.™.

What is the Ford Bronco Sasquatch Package?

If you’re in the market for a new Ford Bronco, you’ll note that you have several options when it comes to packages. One of these is the Sasquatch Package. So, what is the Ford Bronco Sasquatch Package?

Road and Track explains that the Ford Bronco Sasquatch Package is geared primarily at off-road enthusiasts. To help Bronco drivers ready to take their adventures off the beaten path, the Sasquatch Package includes “a shorter 4.7:1 final drive ratio, position-sensitive Bilstein shocks, locking axles front and rear, 17-inch Beadlock-capable wheels,” along with 35-in. mud-terrain tires. The tires are the largest factory tire size possible, coming in at 5 inches larger in diameter than the base tires. Motor1 also notes that the Sasquatch package includes high-clearance fender flares to give the large tires more room.

The Sasquatch Package is especially attractive because it’s available on every Ford Bronco trim, not just the top-of-the-line trims. That said, there are some limitations on the package, the most notable being that it’s only available with the 10-speed automatic transmission Broncos. If you were hoping to get the package on a manual transmission Bronco, it seems that, at least for the moment, you’re out of luck. 

Here are some other Bronco accessories and add-ons

The possibilities of the Ford Bronco don’t stop with the Sasquatch Package. There’s a whole world of different add-ons available as well. 

For example, the Bronco comes with several possible performance upgrades. If you’re interested in the Black Diamond trim, you can expect heavy-duty bumpers, rock rails, bash plates, marine-grade vinyl seats, and rubberized washable floors. The Badlands trim, on the other hand, offers a front disconnecting sway bar. Additionally, there’s the Everglades trim, which comes with a factory-installed air snorkel, and a 10,000-lb Warn ZEON 10-S winch packing 100 feet of synthetic line. 

If you’re looking to buy an SUV for your off-roading adventures, you’ll want to at least consider a Ford Bronco. The Sasquatch Package and other add-ons make this vehicle an enticing one.
