The Ford F-150 is paying drivers $2,000 to dump Ram
The battle between full-size trucks is starting to get personal. The Ford F-150 already excels as the most popular truck and has been benefiting from increasing sales. But it’s going for more by offering drivers $2,000 to dump the Ram 1500.
The Ford F-150 offers drivers $2,000 to switch from Ram
You may think that the Ford F-150 already has enough success, but the American way is to always go for more. That’s why Ford is trying to steal drivers from other truck brands.
Ford is offering current Ram truck owners up to $2,000 to switch to the F-150 or Lightning. Ford is stealing drivers before the Ram 1500 EV finally enters the market.
According to CarsDirect, Ford sent out a letter stating that the offer is valid on 2023 and 2024 F-150 Lightning models.
Plus, Ford makes things even sweeter for those interested in the F-150 Lightning. It’s offering a ‘Power Promise’ that provides owners with a free Level 2 home charging station and covers the installation cost.
The XLT Pro trim is the entry-level model with an MSRP of $54,995. This model only has up to 240 miles of range.
Upgrading to the top-spec Platinum trim increases the starting price to $84,995 with 300 miles of range. The Flash and Lariat trims offer 320 miles of range. The F-150 Lightning can tow up to 10,000 lbs and carry a payload of up to 2,235 lbs.
Ram hasn’t shared official specs about the 1500 EV, yet. Prices may start around $60,000, but I predict that the top trim level will cost over $100,000.
Also, it’s expected to have between 350 to over 500 miles of range. It’s bragging about a 14,000 lb towing capacity and 2,700 lb payload capacity.
Sadly, I will need to see it to believe it after the Tesla Cybertruck delivered false promises about its range and power.
Stay tuned for updates, Ram could strike back at the F-150.
