Ford Has 4 2021 Models Worth Waiting For
Ford has had more than its fair share of problems in 2020. In April, everyone was wondering if Ford would be going out of business. Now that it’s money problems seemed to be staved off, at least for the moment, Ford is looking forward to 2021, and so should you.
According to Kelley Blue Book, Ford has four vehicles coming out in 2021 that are sure to please new consumers. So which vehicles are they, and why should you be so excited?
2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E
The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E is probably one of the most anticipated electric SUVs of the year. Not only do you get an SUV based off of the legendary Mustang, but you also get one that gets up to an EPA-estimated 300 MPGe range.
On top of that, it’s all-wheel drive, which is one of the most exciting features about the Mach-E. It can also go from 0 to 60 in less than four seconds. There are sport sedans that can’t reach speeds like that.
What really irks fans, however, is the name. Many can’t figure out why Ford calls this a Mustang when a mere glance makes it obvious that the Mach-E bears little resemblance to its namesake. Still, it has some great stats, and is definitely worth the wait.
2021 Ford Bronco Sport
The Ford Bronco Sport is on its way, and fans are delighted. Like the Mustang Mach-E, the name is a little deceptive. The Bronco Sport is not a new trim level of the Ford Bronco. Rather, it is a smaller version of the Bronco. Sort of like the Jeep Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee.
The Bronco sport will be smaller, but still has plenty of power. It comes with four doors, making getting in and out easier for anyone who gets crammed into the backseat.
For those who have dreams of going off-road, the Bronco Sport can’t keep up with the Bronco, but it’s still got plenty of power. Even better, it doesn’t have the Jeep Wrangler’s issue of not being a decent daily driver.
The Ford Bronco Sport has been criticized for being too similar to the Jeep Renegade, however. It’s impossible to look at the two and not make some unfavorable comparisons. Saying which is the better SUV is also impossible, as the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport hasn’t been put through its paces as of yet.
2021 Ford F-150
The Ford F-150 has been around for years, but now it’s getting a hybrid version. It’s geared toward the working class, and if Ford’s stats are correct, it might just be a game-changer.
It can easily tow up to 14,000 lbs, as well as carrying a payload of up to 3,325 lbs. This is 800 lbs more than the 2020 model. The Ford F-150 has an estimated 700 MPGe range.
Perhaps one of the biggest reasons to wait for the 2020 Ford F-150 is the Pro Power Onboard system. So what is that? Well, it turns the F-150 into a generator. For anyone who needs a new generator, they can get both with this one purchase.
2021 Ford Bronco
Perhaps the most anticipated new vehicle of 2021 is the Ford Bronco. It comes as a two or four-door model, and is Ford’s way to finally take a bite of the sales coming in from the Jeep Wrangler.
The Ford Bronco comes with two engine choices. One is a 2.3-liter four-cylinder that comes standard. It can make 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. The second option is a twin-turbo V6, which provides 310 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque.
The major problem with the Ford Bronco is the lack of availability. The first edition sold out in mere hours once sales became available online, which means that some Bronco fans might have to wait to get their hands on one.
