Thankfully, it does look like Ford has plans to increase the production of the Maverick truck. So hopefully, that makes actually being able to get one an easier task. No matter how great folks feel about this small truck, it doesn’t mean much if dealerships don’t have any inventory to sell.

It looks like the 2023 Maverick is repeating the success of the 2022 model in terms of resale value. It has finished eighth among all new vehicles with a five-year resale estimate of 61.7. It is not strange for trucks to have strong value on the second-hand market. But the Ford Maverick is not your traditional pickup.
It rides on a unibody platform, comes standard with a hybrid engine, and it’s actually affordable. But, unlike the Hyundai Santa Cruz, the Maverick does look like a pickup truck. And that, along with its 4,000-pound tow rating, might be why folks are willing to put money down on a compact pickup.
Why can’t you buy a Ford Maverick?
If you’re interested in getting a Maverick truck, your best bet might be to look at the used market. As it stands, there is definitely a wait time for this compact pickup. Certain models might be available sooner than others. But you would be extremely lucky to find a Ford Maverick at a dealership today.
Hopefully, as Ford increases production of its popular models, this small truck will become easier to get your hands on. But do not expect things to change overnight in terms of supply.
At the end of the day, the Blue Oval can only do so much in order to keep up with demand. The Maverick is not the only vehicle Ford builds. It is built in the same factory as the Bronco Sport, so things are limited.
