But according to Ford Authority, Ford will resume taking Maverick pickup truck orders come August of 2022. This is good news for those who want to buy a new compact truck. Although, it is still a bit of a wait. 

What kind of updates could the 2023 Maverick have?

In terms of Ford Maverick updates for 2023, there may not be many. But, recently a test Maverick truck was spotted with what appears to be dual exhaust and other changes. Because of this, speculation has started that Ford could be planning a performance version of its compact pickup truck. It could mean an ST model, or maybe Ford will be adding its Rattler package to the Maverick. Either way, the return of small, fast trucks would be a good thing.

Another, non-vehicle-related update we would like to see is improved handling of orders. Hopefully, once the 2023 Ford Maverick is released, Ford is better prepared for just how popular this vehicle is. That way, more buyers can get behind the wheel of this compact truck. Allowing more Maverick models to get on area roads. Until then, the brand will continue to work on delivering 2022 models.
