Oh no, America’s favorite brand is under fire. There are multiple Ford vehicles at risk of losing control due to a power steering issue. The problem is so widespread that a recall was issued for four different Ford models.

The latest automotive recall involves Ford vehicles due to a problem with the power steering. Basically, the power steering torque sensor might be improperly calibrated.

As a result, the steering wheel could turn from side to side against the driver’s inventions, increasing the risk of accidents and injuries.

Because the steering wheel may unintentionally turn, there is also a risk of losing control. However, Ford is unaware of any accidents, injuries, or deaths related to this recall.

The models impacted by this recall include:

  • 2018-2023 Ford Mustang cars
  • 2018-2020 Ford F-150 trucks
  • 2018-2021 Ford Expedition SUVs
  • 2018-2021 Lincoln Navigator SUVs

This impacts about 7,442 vehicles produced between April 16, 2022, and April 27, 2024. Ford will begin notifying owners at risk via mail on August 5, 2024.
