When Consumer Reports listed some of the new and improved SUVs for 2022, the 2022 BMW X3 was included. Since 2021, the reliability history of the X3 has improved. While it previously had low or average scores for reliability, the 2021 and 2022 versions have seen a change. The 2022 X3 had good scores for the road test, reliability, and owner satisfaction. Overall, the improvement landed this SUV in fifth place out of 35 similar luxury sport utility vehicles.

Forward collision warning (FCW), lane departure warning (LDW), blind-spot warning (BSW), and rear cross-traffic warning (RCTW) are all standard on the 2022 X3. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the SUV four and five-star safety ratings on its tests.

The 2022 Acura MDX saw better scores for the road test and reliability. Its overall reliability history has been on the up and up for the last few years, which is usually a trend that continues. Owners report being satisfied with the seat comfort, the interior, and the ride of the MDX. The 2022 MDX also saw high scores in reliability trouble areas like the engine, transmission, and drive system.

FCW, LDW, BSW, and RCTW are all standard on the MDX. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave it the Top Safety Pick Plus award for 2022 as well.

Consumer Reports gave the Q7 the “recommended” label for the first time in 2022.

Standard safety features include FCW, LDW, BSW, and RCTW. The IIHS didn’t give the Q7 an overall safety rating, but it did get high scores on the areas tested.

The Infiniti QX50 has just enough room and luxury

Consumer Reports doesn’t have a comprehensive history with the Infiniti QX50. Some years it has an average owner satisfaction score; sometimes, it has no score. The reliability score was low for many of the years tested. However, the QX50 is one of the luxury SUVs with improved reliability for 2022.

FCW, LDW, BSW, and RCTW are included with the QX50. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the Infiniti SUV mainly four and five stars on its crashworthiness tests.
