Midsize trucks get a lot of attention these days, but there are also quite a few full-size pickup trucks about to be released over the next couple of years. Some are complete redesigns, and others are just new variants. No, we’re not talking about electric trucks.

There are many reasons why it has taken some of these manufacturers (and we’re looking at you Nissan and Toyota) so long to give us a new full-size truck but our wait is almost over. Here are the four trucks that will be rolled out over the next year or two that many are excited to see and drive via Automotive News:

1. 2021 Nissan Titan

Nissan Titan: Let’s be honest, the limited mileage the current Titan is able to eke out could be part of the reason it has not sold well. That may be why it has taken a bit longer than we’d like. Later in 2020, Nissan will debut its new Titan. It will have a hybrid V6 and the current 5.6-liter V8 tweaked to improve performance and economy. Recently Nissan axed Titan’s regular cab and diesel, so that leaves a single-engine and the four-door full-size pickup truck. The new Titan can’t come too soon with so little variety in such a hot market.

2. 2021 Toyota Tundra

Toyota Tundra: Toyota has also been a bit casual about introducing a new full-size pickup truck. It expects to debut the new Tundra later in 2020 as a 2021 model. We understand all versions will be hybrid, significantly improving mileage. A twin-turbo V6 based off of the Lexus LS500 3.5-liter is said to be one of the options but has not been confirmed. Also, the smaller Tacoma is coming a couple of years later. It will be on the same frame as the Tundra, which will be interesting to see how the two compare.

3. 2022 Chevy Silverado ZRX

Chevy Silverado ZRX: Or also known as the Raptor fighter. Well, sort of. While the Raptor is modeled after a trophy truck, the ZRX will take its cues and some of its features from trail and rock crawlers. With that in mind, Chevy may not be trying to out-power the Raptor, but they should take a cue from Ram’s Rebel and go for it. It has taken a bit for GM to come around to doing a Raptor of its own and we can’t wait to compare it to Ford’s full-size pickup truck trailblazer and the new Ram Rebel TRX.

4. 2021 Ford Bronco

Ford Bronco: You didn’t think we’d miss the much anticipated, possibly over-hyped (by sites like MotorBiscuit) return of the Bronco. It has been received so fully Ford is doing a baby Bronco crossover to go along with a two-door and four-door Bronco. Based on the Ranger platform, there will be a 2.3-liter four-cylinder with electric-assist turbo, hybrids, and an Ecoboost V6. As hot as SUVs have been for years it is amazing Ford has waited this long, but the wait is almost over.

5. Ram Rebel TRX

Ram Rebel TRX: Whatever Fiat-Chrysler stabs a 707 hp Hellcat engine into gets the ink, kudos, and enthusiast lust. So why not a Ram Rebel T-Rex or TRX. It’s listed in Chrysler’s product cadence calendar for 2022. There are also rumors a base-TRX with a 575-hp V8 will also be part of the package. Raptor wars are heating up.

Bonus: GMC Jimmy

GMC Jimmy: Nah, we’re kidding. GMC told us there’s no way there will be a revival of the Jimmy. Since GM forbids employees from discussing future products, who knows whether this is really true or not. Stay tuned!
