So, how much are RAV4 drivers paying on average to refuel the popular SUV? According to AAA.com, the national average gas price is around $3.58 a gallon at the time of publishing.

Since the Toyota RAV4 has a 14.5-gallon tank, many drivers are paying an average of $51.91 to refuel their small SUV. Unfortunately for some drivers, gas prices differ from state to state due to supply and other factors. In fact, some drivers are paying at least $14.09 more than the national average RAV4 refueling cost every time they fill up their SUVs. Three states, in particular, have the highest gas prices.

A gallon of gas in Hawaii costs around $4.72 at the time of publishing. It costs about $68.44 to refuel the RAV4 in Oregon. California currently has the second-highest gas prices in the nation at $4.85 a gallon. It costs around $70.32 to refuel the Toyota RAV4 in Cali. Washington state has the highest gas prices in the United States at $4.96 a gallon. It costs $71.92 to refuel the Toyota RAV4 in Washington state.

Choosing a hybrid RAV4 over the gas version can result in hundreds of dollars in savings on fuel costs, especially in the three most costly states for gas.
