Full-Time RV Living Is Easy in the Forest River Salem Hemisphere
When RV sales began booming last year, more people warmed up to the idea of living in these vehicles full-time. Camper trailers and motorhomes come in a variety of sizes suitable for every budget. The most luxurious often boast spacious kitchens, living areas, and even bathrooms.
Still, it’s hard to replicate that feeling of living in a house, no matter how fancy the motorhome. But, some campers really exceed the standard for full-time RV living. Here’s why the Forest River Salem Hemisphere is our pick from a recent Camper Report roundup.
The Forest River Salem Hemisphere offers plenty of space
Camper Report‘s favorite thing about the Forest River Salem Hemisphere camper is that it looks compact yet can hold plenty of furniture and passengers. The fifth-wheel versions have three slide-outs, bringing the total length to over 43 feet. The largest trailers have two bedrooms, a wide socializing area, a kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower.
In addition to featuring the loft and king beds, the largest trailers have two sleeper sofas. Each trailer also comes with multiple overhead compartments for easy storage throughout the year. The Hemisphere even features a shaded pet tether for your animal friends to get some fresh air.
The Forest River Salem Hemisphere boasts exceptional build quality
The upscale materials used in the Forest River Salem Hemisphere add to its cozy atmosphere. Each model comes with chevron Congoleum flooring and Hudson wood cabinets. The trailers also have cathedral-style ceilings finished with waterproof yacht ceiling panels.
Each Forest River Salem Hemisphere also comes with an upgraded insulation package ideal for living in all temperature extremes. Two panoramic windows come with most floor plans, so there’s plenty of natural light. And Camper Report appreciates the leather couches and custom backsplash in the kitchen area.
Lots of standard amenities
Forest River Salem Hemisphere RVs are available in multiple floor plans and a travel trailer or fifth-wheel variety. Despite their smaller stature, the travel trailers are still handsomely equipped. Their sleeping area features a custom king bed facing a dresser with TV hookups. This area also has a wardrobe plus a space with washer and dryer hookups.
The kitchen area consists of a microwave, pantry, sink, stove, fridge, and dining booth. The living area has an entertainment system with two movie-theater-style chairs. And the bathroom comes with a toilet, sink, and radius shower. An A/C system is also standard.
The sleeping areas in fifth-wheel Hemisphere campers are larger, with additional shelving for the wardrobe. Upon exiting this space, you pass through a storage hallway, where you can stow even more items. Some layouts feature an extra room with a standard bed that can be converted to a sofa. This room also has TV hookups and a smaller wardrobe area.
The fifth-wheel kitchen comes with a larger fridge, gas stove, and island for the sink. The dining area features a table and chairs directly under the entertainment center. And the living area has a tri-fold sofa, with some floor plans including extra lounge chairs.
Great optional features
Both Forest River Salem Hemisphere travel trailers and fifth-wheels have available packages with fancy upgrades. You can get a 50-inch LED TV, Blu-ray player, electric fireplace, LED awning lights, and bigger windows in the travel trailers. You can also choose kitchen appliances clad in dark glass and add ivory accents along the camper’s exterior.
Many of the same options are available for Hemisphere fifth-wheel models, but these larger campers add exclusive perks. You can get an optional ceiling fan, water heater, and additional A/C unit. No matter how simple or extravagant, the Forest River Salem Hemisphere really feels like a home on wheels.
