Here’s What You Get on a Fully Loaded 2021 Chevrolet Silverado
The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado competes with other full-size pickup trucks like the Ford F-150 and Ram 1500. All three of these trucks have pros and cons, and all truck owners have their preferences. If you’re interested in a truck and unsure what’s in a fully loaded Chevy Silverado, we’ve got you covered. Using Kelley Blue Book’s breakdown, here’s everything you’ll find inside and outside of a fully loaded 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab.
It’s in the details
The new 2022 Silverado isn’t available until Spring, so for now the High Country is the top model of Silverado. There’s plenty of options for anyone interested in buying a Silverado. For instance, 2.6L turbo, 4.3L V6, and 5.3L V8 engines are all available options for varying Silverado models. Rear and four-wheel drive systems are also available, with towing capability of either 9,600 or 13,300 pounds. The Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 will compete with the Ford Raptor and Ram TRX this coming Spring. For now, this is as powerful as the Silverado can get.
The base version of the Silverado currently comes equipped with a 2.7-liter turbo inline-4 engine, 12-volt front and rear aux power outlets, bluetooth, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot-spot. This is completely from top-to-bottom everything that comes with a base Silverado work truck. After all it is just that, a work truck. This Silverado is an affordable truck for anyone who needs to haul weight from one location to another. It isn’t luxurious or fancy, but it can be.
Fully loaded 2021 Chevrolet Silverado
The fully loaded version is the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country 4WD Crew Cab. It’s significantly more expensive, starting at $62,190, but it’s as luxurious a pickup as you’ll find. Included in this truck is a 6.2-liter V8 EcoTec3 engine with Dynamic Fuel Management technology. Also included are Tow/Haul mode to reduce shifting for better control and cooling, and automatic engine braking to maintain desired speed when driving downhill and to reduce brake wear. The Dynamic Fuel Management technology constantly works to shut down unused cylinders in the engine. The engine in this model of the Silverado is the same basic engine as what’s in the Corvette Stingray C8. The High Country can tow up to 9,200 pounds when equipped with this engine.
The Silverado requires the Chevrolet Max Trailering pakcage to achieve maximum towing capability. It adds a trailer brake controller, handling/trailering suspension package, automatic locking rear differential, and the Advanced Trailering package.
More technology and options
The High Country Deluxe package includes automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, safety alert seat, lane-keep assist, forward collision alert, adaptive cruise control, a power sunroof, 22-inch all-season tires, and all-weather floor mats. All of this safety and driving assist technology will not only keep you and your passengers safe, but the cargo you’re hauling as well. It costs an extra $4,300.
The Technology package includes the HD Surround Vision system with a rearview camera mirror, a 15-inch HUD, and a bed view camera. Safety Package II features the above-mentioned High Country safety features plus adds a following distance indicator, Intellibeam automatic headlights, and lane departure warning. The Technology package costs an extra $1,870. Additional options are available for an increased price, which can reach as high as $72,000.

Multi-Flex tailgate
As seen in any commercial you’ve seen for the Silverado or maybe even other GM trucks, the multi-flex tailgate is something special. GM’s innovative new advanced tailgate system allows users to fold it down into steps to walk into the bed, bed extensions, and more. The entire thing can be controlled and gently lowered by use of the key fob provided with your vehicle. There’s a load stop to prevent cargo from sliding, an easy access function to allow you to reach further into the bed from outside, and a full width step can open for easy access into the bed. Lastly, a standing-height work surface can be crafted to make sure those using the Silverado as a work truck have a place to write, measure, or anyting else you might need to do.
Without question there are loads of amenities included in a fully loaded 2021 Chevrolet Silverado. The Silverado can be the perfect work truck or daily driver. It’s got something for everyone, whether that’s tech or functionality. The Silverado’s innovative tailgate, tech-filled interior, and many safety features make it an amazing full size pickup option. The fully loaded version will cost a pretty penny, but for those in the price range it is one of the best offers available.
