The Honda CR-V is one of the most beloved compact SUVs, and it’s hard to imagine it getting any better. And yet it has. Honda created the CR-V Hybrid, which helps save on fuel. And outrageous gas prices make the 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid even more attractive. So, how much will you pay for a range-topping CR-V Hybrid, and is a fully loaded model worth the spend?

The 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid is relatively affordable

Electric and hybrid vehicles aren’t known for their affordable MSRPs relative to their gas-powered counterparts. But the price for the 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid isn’t bad. It comes in only three trim levels, and each has its charms.

The base model is the EX. It starts at $31,610, according to Honda, and offers quite a few features. They include all-wheel drive, blind-spot monitoring, and the Honda Sensing suite of other advanced safety features and driver assists.

The mid-level CR-V Hybrid trim level is the EX-L. This model gives you additional features, such as heated front leather-trimmed seats, a power tailgate, and Honda’s HomeLink Remote System. It starts at $34,200.

The top trim is the Hybrid Touring, which offers the most for $37,400. That’s only $5,790 more than the EX. Let’s take a look at the Touring.

What features do you get with the range-topping Honda CR-V Hybrid Touring?

The 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid Touring packs a 2.0-liter inline-four hybrid engine producing 212 hp and 129 lb-ft of torque. It pairs with a continuously variable transmission. 

To add to the Touring’s appeal, AWD comes standard. The fuel economy is also excellent. It gets 40 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway for a combined 38 mpg. The fuel tank can hold 14 gallons, and the Touring has a cruising range of 560 miles in the city and 490 miles on the highway. 

Standard features on the Hybrid Touring include Bluetooth, HD and satellite radio, built-in navigation, a power liftgate, and leather seats.

How much do optional extras increase the Hybrid Touring’s price?

Honda offers a whopping 10 optional packages you can add to your 2022 CR-V Hybrid Touring. Some are the same except with different colors, so your purchase price will reflect any add-ons you decide to get.

The All Season Black Protection I package offers a cargo tray, splash guard set, and all-season black high-wall floor mats for $413. Or, for $361, the All Season Black Protection II offers the same features but with chrome wheel locks instead of the splash guard set.

The All Season Blue Protection I ($423) and the All Season Blue Protection II ($372) offer the same features as the Black package, except the mats are blue.

The Cargo Protection package costs $323 and includes a cargo tray and seat-back protector.

For $1,149, Dark Accent Package A brings a door sill protection film, gloss black front grille, gloss black side lower trim, a body-colored tailgate spoiler, and a fender accent trim.

Illumination Package A includes a blue illuminated door sill, carbon fiber-look interior trim, and a blue illuminated logo for $656.

The Protection Package includes a cargo tray, chrome wheel locks, and a splash guard set for $292.

The Styling Package includes a door sill protection film, gloss black front grille, gloss black side lower trim, a body-colored tailgate spoiler, and fender accent trim. This package costs $1,149.

Utility Package B costs $956 and includes a seat back protector, running boards, and crossbars.

The All Season Blue Protection I, Dark Accent, Illumination, and Utility packages will pretty much cover all the other packages for the highest cost. That will increase the price of the CR-V Hybrid Touring by $3,184, bringing the total for a fully loaded model to $40,584. 

So, is the 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid Touring worth that price? If you can afford it, definitely.
