How Much Does a Fully Loaded 2022 Mazda Miata Cost?
The Mazda MX-5 Miata has been the ultimate affordable sports car since its introduction in 1987. Since then, the Miata has proven itself to be an enthusiastic everyday cruiser that gives drivers plenty of top-down fun on the road without an expensive or overpowered build. Now offered in three trim levels, the 2022 Mazda Miata continues to impress with its lightweight, well-balanced design.
All Mazda MX-5 Miata cruisers come equipped with a 2.0-liter, 181 horsepower engine with a rear-wheel-drive layout and a new technology for cornering called Kinematic Posture Control (KPC). So, how much will a Miata cost, and how do the costs add up for a fully loaded MX-5 Miata Grand Touring top trim level?
The 2022 Mazda MX-5 Miata Sport baseline trim
The 2022 Mazda MX-5 Miata continues to be a driver’s car with an outstanding power-to-weight ratio and precise handling. The base MSRP for the Mazda MX-5 Miata Sport with a 6-speed manual transmission is $27,300. Mazda says the company doesn’t skimp on standard features at the base trim level.
Available only with a black soft top, the MX-5 Miata Sport two-seat roadster has an advanced airbag system, and a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with steering wheel mounted audio controls.
The MX-5 Club trim level adds a hardtop option
Mazda MX-5 Miata Club models are paired exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission. At this trim level, drivers can choose between a black cloth soft top or a hardtop version that Mazda calls “RF” (retractable fastback). The 2022 Mazda MX-5 Miata Club has an MSRP of $30,800 and adds Bilstein dampers sport-tuned features that improve the roadster’s dynamics.
Other Club trim level elements include a gloss black front air dam, rear lip spoiler, black metallic 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, and seatback trim. Inside, it adds Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM radio, and a 9-speaker Bose premium audio system calibrated for top-down driving.
Mazda Miata’s fully loaded top trim level
The Mazda MX-5 Miata Grand Touring trim has an MSRP of $32,300 if drivers choose the black soft top or $35,550 for RF. There is also a choice of transmissions, either the 6-speed manual or a quick-shifting six-speed automatic equipped with steering wheel paddle shifters.
Adding to everything on the Club trim level, MX-5 Miata Grand Touring brings creature comforts without sacrificing Miata’s sporty heritage. Body-color heated door mirrors, automatic on and off headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and dark silver 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.
Inside, standard black leather heated seats, a Mazda Navigation system, a three-year SiriusXM Traffic & Travel Link subscription, automatic climate control, and an auto-dim rearview mirror with HomeLink are included. The Grand Touring trim also adds safety features like Traffic Sign Recognition and an Adaptive Front Lighting System.
