The Fully Loaded 2023 BMW X4 Price Could Shake You
The BMW X4 is an exciting alternative to a more mainstream luxury SUV. BMW calls it a “Sports Activity Coupe,” but since no one in real life calls it that, we’ll call it a compact luxury SUV. The twist is the sloping roofline giving it a coupe-like profile while retaining some of the versatility of an SUV.
However you want to classify it, the BMW X4 is like a sportier version of the more traditional BMW X3. While X4 has some advantages over the X3, like standard AWD, they’re mechanically similar in all the right ways.
Today, let’s look at how much a BMW X4 costs and what you can expect to pay for a fully-loaded model.
How much does an entry-level 2023 BMW X4 cost?
The 2023 BMW X4 has a starting MSRP of $54,200. That gets you the base xDrive30i model. It’s powered by a 248-hp turbo four-cylinder engine, and the xDrive AWD system comes standard. Other standard features in the X4 include 19-inch wheels, SensaTec upholstery, an Anthracite headliner, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, the Live Cockpit Professional digital gauge cluster, and more.
The sportier M40i model starts at $65,400, and it’s powered by a 382-hp turbocharged inline-six. In addition to what you get in the base model, the M40i model adds features like an adaptive M suspension system, M Sport brakes, a sporty appearance package, and more.
The BMW X4 M performance model
The 2023 BMW X4 M sits at the top of the BMW X4 food chain. The M moniker means a lot here. The turbo six under the hood produces 473 horsepower giving it a 3.9-second 0-60 mph time. It also has an M-specific AWD system and transmission.
The M model starts at $77,900. That’s not cheap, but the price can climb quite a bit higher with options. The most expensive option is the $7,000 Competition Package. This adds an M Sport exhaust system, increasing output to 503 hp, shaving 0.2 seconds off the 0-60 mph time. Other upgrades with the Competition Package include M Sport seats and seat belts, extended Shadowline trim, and more options for wheels and upholstery.
An Executive Package for $2,250 adds more luxury and tech features, including a head-up display. The Driving Assistance Professional Package for $1,700 adds more driver assistance tech features like adaptive cruise control, while an M Driver’s Package comes with a driving school course to teach you how to make the most out of your performance SUV.
A few individual options include premium paint ($650), a carbon strut brace ($500), wireless charging ($500), M Shadowline lights ($250), and remote start ($300).
Is a fully loaded X4 luxury SUV worth it?
Adding as many options as possible adds up to an MSRP of $94,150, plus the $995 destination fee that applies to all 2023 BMW X4 models. Although it can’t quite reach the $100k mark, that’s an expensive luxury performance SUV. However, it’s worth every penny to the right driver.
