The largest Lexus SUV is the GX, seating up to seven passengers. With standard V8 power and an optional off-road package, this midsize luxury SUV is a powerful cruiser and a capable adventuring vehicle. So, how much should you expect to pay for a fully loaded 2023 Lexus GX?
2023 Lexus GX overview
The Lexus GX 460 offers three trim levels: base, Premium, and Luxury. The base model starts at $59,275. Like the other two GX trims, the standard trim packs a V8 engine making 301 hp and 329 lb-ft of torque. It also has a six-speed automatic transmission and standard four-wheel drive.
The GX has a standard kinetic suspension system for a smooth ride when traveling off-pavement. Passengers sit on NuLuxe faux leather seats, surrounded by a well-padded interior with wood trim. The driver’s seat is power-adjustable and has memory settings.
Dual-zone automatic climate control keeps riders comfortable, and a standard moonroof lets in light.
The Lexus GX 460 also has triple-beam LED headlights and many advanced driver’s aids. Heated and ventilated front seats, along with headlight washers, can be added for a small upcharge.
All trims have a standard 10.3-in touchscreen infotainment interface, programmed with smartphone integration for Apple and Android devices. It can also be paired with an Amazon Alexa and has a built-in navigation system.
The mid-range Lexus GX 460 Premium has standard heated and ventilated front seats, as well as heated outboard rear seats. This trim also adds LED foglights, automatic windshield wipers, and tri-zone climate control.

The former includes a gunmetal-gray exhaust tip, several unique exterior elements, an exclusive grille design, and heated second-row captain’s chairs.
The Off-Road package has a panoramic camera system programmed with a multi-terrain monitor with various traction presets. A transmission cooler, crawl control, and a fuel-tank protector are also included. Lexus offers the panoramic view monitor for $800.
The most expensive GX 460 accessory is a Yakima rooftop cargo basket for $600. There are also a few safety and security extras and premium carpeted floor mats.

The luxury SUV will get a few updates for 2024
Car and Driver expects the 2024 Lexus GX to gain more off-roading features for its upcoming redesign. The automaker will probably also refresh the interior to replace some of the more dated switches and other design elements. The 2024 Luxury trim might start at over $70,000, so expect the fully loaded trim to be even more expensive.
