The 2023 Land Rover lineup blends off-road capability, attractive exterior styling, and premium interior elements. With a triple-digit price tag, the range-topping flagship Range Rover is the most opulent model, but other Land Rovers are relatively attainable. For instance, the Range Rover Velar starts at $60,300. Naturally, this luxury SUV offers plenty of tempting upgrades on higher trims and optional packages. Here’s what you can expect to pay for a fully loaded 2023 Range Rover Velar.

What comes standard in the 2023 Velar?

The base 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Velar S includes a peppy turbo-four engine making 247 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. It pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. 19-inch wheels are standard.

Optional drive modes allow you to adjust the traction settings for some light off-roading adventures. The 2023 Velar also offers almost 10 inches of ground clearance. You can option every trim with an adaptive air suspension to loosen the ride.

Car and Driver says this midsize crossover SUV can hit 60 mph in 7.4 seconds. Considering its proportions, that’s a pretty decent feat.

C/D also praised the Velar for its agreeable ride and secure handling. With the base engine, the Velar gets 23 mpg combined city/highway.

Every 2023 Range Rover Velar comes standard with leather-upholstered seating for five, including heated front seats. Riders can also enjoy an expansive moonroof and dual-zone climate control. Tech features include smartphone integration and several safety features, which users can operate through the center stack’s dual-touchscreen setup.

According to Land Rover, the 2023 Range Rover Velar HST is the most expensive trim, starting at $79,200. It packs an upgraded six-cylinder engine harnessing 395 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque. The automaker estimates this model can hit 60 mph in 5.1 seconds.

The HST also boasts special 21-inch wheels and Meridian 3D surround-sound speakers. In addition, the air suspension and a head-up display are included.

The exterior options list starts with fog lights and satin/silver contrast wheels with diamond accents. While most of the HST’s paint options are free, choosing Charente or Carpathian Grey will add $900 to the final bill. Roof rails add another $450.

Interior options include a choice between two upholsteries: suede or perforated leather. Various trim finishes are also available, including carbon fiber.

Furthermore, the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Velar offers a few packages containing extras like a heated windshield and multiple interior storage solutions. Buyers can add ventilated seats to the front row and heated seats to the back row.

Protective exterior gear, such as wheel locks and mudflaps, are also available.

Adding all of these options to the build costs over $14,000 extra. With the delivery charge, the total for a fully loaded 2023 Range Rover Velar HST will hover around $94,875.

Which 2023 Range Rover Velar trim should you buy?

If a fully loaded 2023 Range Rover Velar is out of your price range, Car and Driver recommends the R-Dynamic S model with the standard engine instead. C/D also suggests you purchase the adaptive suspension and traction management system. Even with those extra features, this trim costs only $65,725 with the delivery fee.

Additionally, the R-Dynamic S has the HST trim’s distinctive dual-exhaust vents. Plus, the money you’ll save allows you to splurge on premium paint colors and glossy silver wheels.
