How Much Does a Fully Loaded 2023 Toyota Tundra Hybrid Cost?
The 2023 Toyota Tundra is a capable full-size truck offering traditional gasoline and hybrid powertrains. Its most potent hybrid system is the i-Force Max. So, how much can shoppers expect to pay for a Tundra Hybrid with all the bells and whistles? Here’s a look at the fully loaded 2023 Toyota Tundra Hybrid price and features.
What is i-Force Max?
i-Force Max is a hybrid powertrain available in the Toyota Tundra pickup truck. This system combines a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 hybrid engine with an electric motor and a 10-speed automatic transmission. Toyota offers the i-Force Max powertrain in four Tundra trim levels: Platinum Hybrid, 1794 Edition Hybrid, TRD Pro Hybrid, and Capstone Hybrid.
i-Force Max is potent, harnessing 437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque. The Platinum Hybrid and 1794 Edition Hybrid trims are available in two-wheel or four-wheel drive with the i-Force Max powertrain. In comparison, the TRD Pro Hybrid and Capstone Hybrid are available only as 4WD models with the i-Force Max powertrain.
How much is a fully loaded 2023 Toyota Tundra Hybrid?
Toyota starts the Platinum Hybrid base model with i-Force Max, 2WD, and a 6.5-foot bed at $64,835. Buyers can upgrade to 4WD for an extra $2,575. On the Platinum Hybrid trim, selecting the smaller 5.5-foot bed adds $95 to the build price.
Like the Platinum Hybrid, the 1794 Edition Hybrid is also available in 2WD and 4WD options. The cheapest i-Force Max 1794 Edition Hybrid is the 2WD option with a 6.5-foot bed, starting at $65,535. Upgrading to 4WD on the 1794 Edition Hybrid bumps the starting MSRP to $68,535. The 1794 Edition Hybrid can also be built with a 5.5-foot bed for an additional $95.
The TRD Pro Hybrid is the only trim available with i-Force Max 4WD and a 5.5-foot truck bed. The MSRP on the 2023 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro Hybrid is $70,920.
Finally, there’s the range-topping Capstone Hybrid. It’s only available as an i-Force Max 4WD with a CrewMax cab and a 5.5-foot truck bed. (The CrewMax cab provides more headroom and legroom for rear-seat passengers.) This trim’s starting price is $77,645. However, adding all factory upgrades, including dozens of accessories, increases the price by about $30,000. So, a fully loaded 2023 Toyota Tundra Hybrid costs around $110,000.
That’s a considerable difference between the Capstone’s starting price and the total. But most buyers won’t need every option the Tundra Hybrid offers.
What do you get with a fully loaded 2023 Toyota Tundra Hybrid?
A fully loaded 2023 Toyota Tundra Hybrid Capstone trim with the i-Force Max powertrain costs much more than its $77,645 starting MSRP. Even the exterior finish can add to the total price.
Shoppers can choose from four exterior colors — Magnetic Gray Metallic, Celestial Silver Metallic, Midnight Black Metallic, and Blueprint — at no extra cost. However, selecting one of the two premium colors — Supersonic Red or Wind Chill Pearl — adds $425 to the build price.
Consumers can also add various upgrades, such as a panoramic view monitor, tow mirrors, and a load-leveling rear height control air suspension and adaptive variable suspension. Those options add about $1,335.
But the price really jumps when loading the Tundra with accessories. Toyota’s online configurator lists about 70 options for the Capstone. They include a center console safe for $399, a dashcam for $449, a TRD skid plate for $699, and paint protection film for $818. The most expensive extras are a bed utility package with cargo storage for $994, a security package for $969, a TRD cast aluminum running board for $1,219, a Dometic electric cooler for $1,500, a Go Rhino stainless-steel sport bar for $1,566, a Go Rhino XRS overland rack for $1,620, and an ARB Elements fridge/freezer for $1,649.
After adding all the enhancements Toyota offers — along with a delivery, processing, and handling fee of $1,850 — a fully loaded 2023 Tundra Capstone costs nearly $111,000. However, most customers will have no use for every accessory Toyota officers, including all four available Dometic electric coolers. So, a more realistic MSRP for a fully loaded Tundra Hybrid hovers around $80,000.
