This iconic vehicle returns for the 2024 model year with seven trims, most of which are available with two or four doors. The Wrangler is notorious for costing more than its rivals, but what about the base model? Let’s compare it to a fully loaded 2024 Jeep Wrangler with all the bells and whistles.

How much does a 2024 Jeep Wrangler base model cost?

The Sport is the cheapest 2024 Jeep Wrangler. This two-door base model starts at $31,895. Upgrading to the four-door costs $4,000 extra.

It comes standard with a 285-hp V6 engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission and part-time four-wheel drive. The available eight-speed automatic transmission costs $2,500. This trim can also be optioned with a more fuel-efficient 270-hp turbo-four at no extra charge. This power plant mates with the eight-speed automatic transmission and is enhanced with stop/start technology.

The Jeep Wrangler Sport rides on 17-inch wheels with all-season tires, offering a ground clearance of 9.7 inches. Buyers can choose between a removable soft or hard top, with the latter costing $1,495.

This Wrangler also has solid front and rear axles, a coil-spring suspension, and a two-speed transfer case to aid its off-roading adventures. It has four cloth bucket seats, standard air conditioning, and a manual adjustability lever for both front seats. 

New for the 2024 model year is a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, which riders can use to configure settings for the wireless smartphone integration.

The base-model Jeep Wrangler still doesn’t have any advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) besides a mandated backup camera, nor does it have power windows.

The range-topping Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 starts at $88,190. This model packs an exclusive Hemi V8 harnessing 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque and an eight-speed automatic. Thanks to this trim’s 35-inch tires, it touts a higher ground clearance of 10.3 inches.

In addition, the Rubicon 392 boasts mechanical enhancements like full-time 4WD and performance brakes and shocks. It also adds an off-roading drive mode, an engine cooler, and an active noise-cancellation system. 

Furthermore, this model includes power-adjustable seats clad in Nappa leather, but only the front riders get heat settings. Because the Rubicon 392 is a four-door, it offers one extra seat and more cargo volume than the two-door models. Users get more than 72 cubic feet of storage space with the second row folded flat. 

They also get built-in navigation, a premium Alpine sound system, and several ADAS features. They include adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitors, rear parking sensors, and automatic emergency braking. 

On top of all the included amenities, the Rubicon 392 offers various options and accessories. Adding most of them costs an additional $8,000. That brings the price of a fully loaded 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 to over $96,000.

What options and accessories does Jeep sell for the Rubicon 392?

This trim has no optional packages because it already abounds with features. However, the 2024 Rubicon 392 has several à la carte options. For instance, Jeep offers multiple wheel designs, a few half-door options, and a one-touch power-operated hard roof. Also, any exterior paint color besides white costs $595 extra, which buyers can pair with a performance black grille for $325.

Shoppers can also purchase a Sunrider cover for the roof, all-weather floormats, and exterior panel graphics courtesy of Mopar. Customers who buy a soft-top model can add a soft-top storage bag. And a heavy-duty RV tow harness costs $775.

Adding most of those options makes this top-tier Jeep Wrangler trim even more expensive. The unladen Rubicon 392 is still probably a hard sell, even for diehard Jeep fans. But it’s hard to resist the allure of best-in-class off-roading chops and a Hemi V8.
