The Lexus LX is the Japanese luxury brand’s flagship luxury SUV. It has everything we love about the brand, like sharp styling, a posh interior, and fun driving dynamics when properly equipped. Think of the LX as the SUV version of the iconic Lexus LS but with available three-row seating. But the fanciest LX doesn’t come cheap. Let’s look at pricing for this boxy beast. We’ll also consider the cost of a fully loaded 2024 Lexus LX for shoppers with a big budget for a big SUV.

The 2024 LX offers five trim levels, listed in order of lowest to highest starting MSRP:

  • LX 600 — $92,915
  • LX 600 Premium — $100,865
  • LX 600 F Sport Handling — $107,125
  • LX 600 Luxury — $108,865
  • LX 600 Ultra Luxury — $133,490

Every trim has the same powertrain: a 409-hp turbocharged V6 with full-time four-wheel drive. Crawl Control with Turn Assist, Multi-Terrain Select, and an electronic locking center differential give the LX respectable off-road capabilities.

Standard features in the base model include 20-inch wheels, a power moonroof, a power liftgate, two-row leather-trimmed seating, heated front seats with power lumbar adjustment, a heated steering wheel, open-pore wood interior trim, and an auto-dimming mirror with a universal garage door opener. The standard infotainment system has a 12.3-inch touchscreen, navigation, SiriusXM, 10-speaker audio, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

In addition, the standard Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 bundles features like automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, road sign assist, automatic high beams, and full-speed adaptive cruise control.

Upgrading to the LX 600 Premium trim costs nearly $8,000 over the base model. It builds on the base trim by adding a power-folding third row of seats, adaptive variable suspension, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, thematic ambient illumination, a hands-free power liftgate, and extra USB ports for the third row.

As the name implies, the F Sport Handling is the sportiest LX trim. It packs the same turbo V6 engine but enhances the driving experience with a sport-tuned suspension system with performance dampers, a Torsen limited-slip differential, and a rear stabilizer bar. In addition to the performance upgrades, Lexus offers a sporty appearance package with 22-inch wheels, semi-aniline leather seating, rear sunshades, Hadori aluminum trim, illuminated door sills, and aluminum pedals.

The penultimate Luxury trim delivers on its name. Features include cooled second-row outboard seats, out-touch auto-arrange power-folding seats, a leather and wood-trimmed steering wheel, and a Mark Levinson 25-speaker audio system.

Last but not least is the Ultra Luxury. Read on for details about this fully loaded 2024 Lexus LX trim.

How much does a fully loaded 2024 Lexus LX cost?

Starting at $133,490, the Lexus LX 600 Ultra Luxury oozes opulence. It boasts four-passenger diamond-stitch semi-aniline leather seating with embossed headrests. The sumptuous second-row seats are heated and ventilated captain’s chairs. They have reclining and massaging features, a power ottoman on the right side, a center armrest, and a table.

Also, expect a rear entertainment system with dual 11.4-inch screens, Takanosha wood trim, a digital rearview mirror, unique 22-inch wheels with a silver finish, and active height control.

Premium paint is the only factory option that can add to the Ultra Luxury’s cost. The most expensive is Manganese Luster, a deep pewter color, for $595. Add the premium paint and the $1,350 delivery, processing, and handling fee, and the price of a fully loaded 2024 Lexus LX is $135,435. However, Lexus notes dealer pricing will vary.

Is a fully loaded 2024 Lexus LX worth over $135,000?

Lexus is typically a budget-friendly alternative to German rivals. But that’s not quite the case with a fully loaded 2024 Lexus LX. You could option a Mercedes-Benz GLS or BMW X7 with similar (or better) performance features at a comparable price point.

That said, the LX is almost half the price of a similarly equipped 2024 Range Rover. The 2024 LX is outstanding and worth every penny to the right buyer. But it isn’t quite the value proposition for which Lexus usually is known.
