And as you might suspect, neither is cheap.

Many of the classic 911 models have sold for millions, and it’s easy to see why. The 911 Turbo boasts an aerodynamic body perfect for picking up speed, and it’s interior never fails to please.

The 2021 model is better than ever and ready to outperform each of its predecessors. While it pays homage to its roots, this year’s 911 Turbo S looks to the future. 

You can’t top the performance of a 911 Turbo S

If you crave speed, you need the 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S. It can go from 0 to 60 in a mind-shattering 2.2 seconds. That record will be hard to break. But the previous record, which the 2020 911 earned, was 2.6 seconds, so Porsche looks to be up to the task. 

To get speed like this, you need the proper engine, and Porsche has it. The 2020 911 Turbo comes equipped with a twin-turbo 3.7-liter flat-six engine. This powerful block of metal helps push the 911 to speeds of 137 mph in just 10.1 seconds. Even more shocking is the fact that it took a mere quarter-mile to do so.

The 911 Turbo S is a drag racer’s dream come true, and it’ll probably win any race it enters. (That is, as long as it isn’t facing a Porsche 918 Spyder, which can hit 0 to 60 in 2.1 seconds.)

Porsche and Embraer join forces

More and more automakers are thinking of taking to the skies, and Porsche is ready to fly. The German automaker has teamed up with Embraer for a jet-themed Porsche.

“The Turbo S in question has been done up to the nines with an aeronautical theme matching the 10 special edition Phenom 300Es, thanks to the Porsche design department and Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur,” MotorTrend wrote. “The result is a 911 with a two-tone Platinum Silver Metallic and matte Jet Grey paint job with accents in chrome and Speed Blue. There are also special touches like ‘N911EA’ embossed on the underside of the Turbo S’s rear wing like a tail number, and door sill plates that say “No Step” like you see on plane wings.”

If you want to get your hands on an Embraer-themed 911 Turbo S, you’re looking at $204,850. But only after you pay $10 million for the jet, because there’s no point in getting a jet-themed Porsche if you don’t have the aircraft to match. Or that’s Porsche’s apparent logic anyway. It might explain why you can have the car only if you get the jet.

Perhaps someday, multimillionaires will grow tired of their jet-inspired Porsche 911s and be willing to part with them. Until then, the rest of us will have to settle for the regular 911. If we can afford it, of course.
