Plus, new Maverick models are even more expensive than the used ones. They’re being sold at 10% above MSRP with prices hovering around $31,000 to $42,000 depending on your area. 

Also, it’s one of the most reliable used vehicles that you can buy for under $30,000. After three years of ownership, the Maverick still has a solid resale value, a good reliability rating, modern tech, and advanced safety features. 

The 2024 Maverick earned a reliability rating of 85 out of 100 from J.D.Power, which is above average. Anything between 81 to 90 is good and scores between 91 and 100 are best. The scores are based on issues that owners report on previous model years. 

The average Maverick model is expected to maintain 686.8% after five years of ownership. But the Toyota Tacoma is still number one with an 86.2% resale value. 

So buying a used Maverick could still provide substantial value with lower prices and could be easier to get.
