The average five-year-old model costs about $2,079 per 10,000 miles and has 188,340 miles or 71.7% of its lifespan left. The Ford F-150 came in 11th place with an average cost of $3,059 per 10,000 miles and 115,425 miles or 59.8% of its life left.
On the list of the top 10-year-old used trucks, the Tundra came in third place, behind the Tacoma and Ridgeline. It has an average cost of $1,983 per 10,000 miles and 132,565 miles or 50.4% of its life left.
The F-150 didn’t land on this list, but the Silverado came in last with an average cost of $2,753 per 10,000 miles and 82,979 miles between or 39.0% of life left.
The 2021 Tundra marks the last model year for the previous generation and J.D.Power gave it a reliability rating of 86 out of 100. This is an excellent score. Anything between 70 and 80 is average but scores between 81 and 90 are above average.
Plus, the Tundra is expected to last between 250,000 to 300,000 miles with plenty of examples surpassing 400,000 miles. The Tundra can provide up to 20 years of service on the road. As it survives it also provides tons of value.
