Giving Your 2024 Toyota Tundra More Muscle Is Easy
If you feel like the Toyota Tundra doesn’t have enough power, then you don’t have to settle. You can give this powerhouse even more muscle with the TRD Performance Package. Plus, this package includes rugged upgrades for the 2024 Toyota Tundra.
What is the 2024 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro Performance Package?
The 2024 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro Performance Package is the latest way to beef up your truck with more power and enhanced capabilities. This package will be available in early 2024 to deliver something truly unique.
It builds upon the standard i-FORCE turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine with 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque at 2,400 rpm by boosting its figures to 421 hp at 5,200 rpm, helping peak torque reach 400 lb-ft of torque faster and 479 lb-ft of torque at 2,000 rpm.
Greg Bernas, Vice President of Toyota Service Parts and Accessories Development, explained that broadening the torque band and significantly improving the throttle tip in enhances power delivery.
With the i-FORCE Hybrid Max engine, horsepower is increased from 437 hp to 469. The torque remains the same at 583 lb-ft.
Other upgrades include larger, higher-flowing dual intakes coupled with a higher-flowing cat-back exhaust to reduce back pressure. Toyota engineers improved airflow to the turbochargers while optimizing the engine management calibration with software.
Unique throttle tuning provides more control for an athletic performance. Visual upgrades include unique badging and exhaust tip treatment. Plus, the exhaust provides an exclusive roar to complement the performance upgrades.
How much does the Tundra TRD Pro Performance Package cost?
You can access the 2024 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro Performance Package for $3,400. Also, you need to use 91 Octane to achieve the Tundra’s peak performance with this kit, so consider the cost of more expensive fuel.
But at least the kit is factory-installed before your Tundra reaches the dealership, and special financing offers are available. It’s also covered by a fully-backed warranty to deliver peace of mind.
The 2024 Toyota Tundra has an MSRP of $39,965. The $1,850 destination fee brings the price up to $41,815, then the TRD Performance Pro Package takes things up to $45,215.
The Tundra Limited has an MSRP of $51,885. It’s the cheapest trim level with the available Hybrid Max powertrain, which increases the price to $59,485. The destination fee and TRD Package come to $64,735. So, extra power isn’t exactly cheap.
2024 Tundra: What’s new?
Aside from the 2024 Toyota Tundra TRD Performance Package, this truck is primarily a carryover model. It was just redesigned in 2022, so it’s still fresh and modern.
Plus, you can get the Tundra Nightshade Edition for $450 on the Limited trim. It features 20-inch matte black wheels, black badging, and black exterior trim pieces, including the outside mirror caps.
You can opt for the three-inch factory-installed lift kit for $4,345. It adds 2.6 inches of ground clearance for nearly 12 inches total. It features red springs, Roush forged steel upper control arms, and Bilstien-tuned shock absorbers.
We hope to test the mods soon. In the meantime, we will continue reporting on Toyota news. Are you excited about the performance upgrades, or are they too expensive?
