GMC Made the 2021 Yukon Denali the Grandest Yet
Sometimes buyers want a luxury car without the conspicuousness of a luxury badge. With this in mind, that’s where models like the 2021 Yukon Denali come into play. GMC says that the 2021 Yukon Denali buyers will be the grandest version yet. So what’s new for 2021?
The 2021 GMC Yukon Denali is all about the intricate details
According to an AutoNews report, one out of every four GMC pickups and SUVs sold is a Denali. And from what we can tell, the all-new Yukon Denali takes things to another level. The new model will have four exclusive color theme choices, all with authentic wood trimmings. Depending on the theme you pick, some models will have hand-treated finishings.
The latest Yukon Denali also promises lots of tech and unique mechanical features. Furthermore, the 2021 Yukon’s expands the interior space and cargo room. The added space translates into additional comfort and additional legroom, even for those in the third-row.
“This is far and away the nicest interior we’ve ever put into a GMC, really giving [owners] that first-class experience,” said Stuart Pierce, senior marketing manager for GMC trucks and full-size SUVs. “The whole idea here is to go beyond what GMC has ever done before and provide an interior that’s exceptionally comfortable, exceptionally beautiful, something people will be comfortable spending a lot of time in.”

More tech upgrades
Tech-lovers will appreciate the Yukon’s redesign, which offers more convenience features as Kelley Blue Book highlighted. There’s a new digital instrument panel with a standard 15.1-inch head-up display, plus a 10.2 -inch touchscreen for starters. The Yukon’s touchscreen controls features, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and navigation. Plus, advanced safety features such as a surround-view camera will make it easier to maneuver this large SUV.
There are many more gadgets exclusive for Denali models. A 14-speaker Bose stereo is standard, along with heated and ventilated front seats. Those in the rear will get heated seats too. You can upgrade to a rear entertainment system with dual 12.6-inch media touchscreens and an LTE Wi-Fi hotspot for a few more amenities.
Driving the 2021 Yukon
The 2021 Yukon features an updated platform that flaunts a 20.9-inch wheelbase; that’s almost five inches longer than the outgoing version. Denali models will have a 420-hp 6.2-liter V8 engine linked to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Denali’s engine is significantly more potent than the standard Yukon models’, which get a 5.3-liter V8 that makes 335-hp. But as you can imagine, fuel economy isn’t this GMC’s strong suit.
As with the previous model year, the 2021 Yukon Denali is available with two- or four-wheel drive. The new Yukon Denali also boasts GMC’s Magnetic Ride Control. This enhanced system stabilizes your driving experience and reduces body roll.
Pricing
GMC has shipped upwards of 3,000 Yukons to dealerships thus far, most of which are Denalis. A standard 2021 Yukon Denali begins at $69,695; the larger Yukon XL Denali starts at $72,395. While these prices are steep, the SUVs have been selling fast.
