The people at Good Housekeeping magazine know a thing or two about quality products. When it comes to family SUVs, the automotive experts at the magazine found some of the most family-friendly vehicles on the market for 2022.
Good Housekeeping has the best compact and subcompact family SUV options
Compact SUVs and subcompact family SUVs are all the rage right now, which is why there are four options on the Good Housekeeping list. The 2022 Mazda CX-30 topped the list for the best subcompact SUV. The CX-30 has room for five, seven trim level options, and a combined fuel economy of 26 mpg. Plus, it has a five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and it is an IIHS Top Safety Pick+.

The 2022 BMW X2 stood out from the crowd for a luxury subcompact SUV option. The X2 has five seats and three trim levels to choose from. Good Housekeeping says it is a “driver-centric vehicle has easily accessible and responsive controls and a highly adjustable driver’s seat and steering-wheel placement.” People love the driving style of BMW and the X2 does not stray from that goal.

Good Housekeeping says it is a frequent SUV winner on this list thanks to its “elegant exterior and well-appointed interior.” The CX-5 is a great family SUV option with a reasonable starting price.
