Great Ways to Roast a BMW Owner
If there is one thing we love in the car community, it’s a good roast. We roast each other like we tease our siblings, and as long as things are kept light-hearted, the roasts can be pretty funny. One group of car owners seems to be the butt of a lot of jokes, and there are plenty of memes on jokes across the internet to support it. If you have a friend that drives a BMW, or you run into them often on the road, chances are you know that there are more than a few roasts you can give a BMW owner.
It probably has an oil leak
Roasting a BMW owner for their probable oil leak is low-hanging fruit in way of jokes, but we can’t happen. Chances are if you’ve ever owned a BMW, you know the familiarity of an oil leak all too well. Too many times I have pulled up behind a BMW driver just to watch that aromatic smoke billow from the tailpipe. That’s not water evaporating…that’s oil burning as it leaks from the oil. Poke a little fun at your favorite BMW oil about leaking oil and you’ll hit a nerve.
They don’t come with turn signals
Did you know that BMWs are the only cars that don’t come with turn signals? It isn’t true, but many BMW drivers wouldn’t know if it was. Chances are you’ve heard the roasts about BMW drivers not using their turn signals, and I’m not saying it’s true 100% of the time…but it’s more surprising to see them being used. Again, another basic roast, but you can’t go wrong with this one. In fact, it’s illegal in some states not to use turn signals, but that doesn’t seem to encourage them.
German engineering
I have a lot of feelings towards BMW based on the previous generations I’ve had. In fact, one model year of the BMW 328i goes down as the hands-down worst car I’ve ever owned. As much as I love the styling, performance, and elegance that BMW has to offer, there is no doubt that a lot of the car is over-engineered. This is an opinion, but it is definitely a popular one. Any BMW owner that works on their car will probably agree with you, but reminding them will definitely sprinkle a little salt on that wound.
Sure, a lot of these roasts could easily apply to other car brands like Audi, but that wouldn’t make them fun. Chances are if you roast a BMW owner, whether they think it’s funny or not, they know deep down there is a lot of truth here. Owning a car that’s easy to roast is a lot like doing modifications — as long as you are happy with it, who really cares?
