The Ram 1500 TRX
For years fans and owners of Ram trucks have patiently awaited their Hellcat-powered V8 pickup truck. It debuted in 2020 and it’s without a doubt one of the most exciting vehicles of a wild year for the auto industry. Like all TRX models, the one in the video employs a 6.2-liter supercharged V8. all four wheels receive 702 horsepower thanks to standard full-time AWD.
According to Road and Track, the Ram 1500 TRX reached 60 mph in only 4.5 seconds. That’s largely thanks to the torque-rich energy delivered through an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Ram 1500 TRD 1500 has 650 pound-feet of torque according to the Ram website.
This truck has rugged power. Plus, it’s built to go fast over variable terrain which gives it an edge over Shelby’s F-150 Super Snake. One moment in the video shows the driver of the Ram pickup truck mention how amazing and upscale the interior of the TRX feels.
The Shelby F-150 Super Snake
In contrast, the Shelby F-150 Super Snake doesn’t get high marks for its luxurious interior. It’s quite a bit more basic than the Ram 1500 TRX in terms of luxury appointments. However, it’s really, really fast.
After modification by Shelby American, the F-150 Super Snake looks the part. A body kit, a brake upgrade, and fresh suspension pieces aren’t the only features bestowed by Shelby’s fine work. Under the hood, we see a supercharged 5.0-liter V8. This beast is capable of 770 horsepower and, according to Top Speed, 470 pound-feet of torque.
The Shelby F-150 Super Snake cranks it up to 60 mph in only 3.45 seconds. It’s a little lighter than the TRX. This unit is built for winning one pickup truck drag race after another. But who is the winner of the Ford and Ram pickup truck drag race? Here’s the video.

The TRX comes ready to race straight from the Ram factory. So while the fastest truck in a drag race is clear to see, it’s not so obvious which is actually the better truck. We’re thinking the Ram might have actually taken this one overall.
