Here Are the Best Value Cars You Can Buy in 2019
Getting a car for a good value doesn’t mean you have to settle for subpar features. In fact, it’s important to research any car prior to purchasing it to make sure you’re getting the best deal. The right car for you will depend on your lifestyle, but in general you should look for a car that operates smoothly, has a comfortable interior, and is good on gas.
There have been some excellent new cars on the market this year, and here are a few of the best ones for your money according to U.S. News.
2019 Toyota Camry: $24,095
This midsize car is one of the safest cars of the year, with flawless crash test records and a host of safety features that come with each standard model.
Its four-cylinder engine may not have the best acceleration, but it still has good handling and a comfortable interior. There’s plenty of space in the cabin as well at the backseat and cargo area. If infotainment compatibility is a dealbreaker, Android users may want to choose another vehicle: the Camry only supports Apple CarPlay.
2019 Honda CR-V: $24,450
The Honda CR-V is known for being one of the best compact SUVs on the market. It has a lot of space for passengers to move around comfortably, and more cargo space than most of its competitors.
It drives smoothly with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a continuously variable automatic transmission. Like the Camry, it comes with a host of safety features such as lane assist and blind-spot monitoring at no extra upcharge. Its infotainment system is a little clunky, but that’s a small nitpick on an otherwise outstanding vehicle.
2019 Kia Stinger: $32,990
For those looking to invest in their first luxury car, you can’t go wrong with a Kia Stinger. Its low price, when compared to other luxury cars, makes it a great value.
The Stinger is a blast to drive with the available twin-turbo V6 engine, superior brakes, and excellent handling. There’s plenty of room in the seating area and cabin, though the interior leaves something to be desired when compared to other luxury cars.
It also doesn’t have as much cargo space as some of its competitors. However, it has nearly every safety feature available on the market and many infotainment features.
2019 Toyota Avalon Hybrid: $36,650
While not officially a luxury vehicle, you won’t know the difference between this and any other large luxury car. The biggest appeal is probably going to be its fuel economy ratings, an impressive 43 mpg on city roads and 44 mpg on the freeway.
The interior is extremely comfortable, with a lot of cabin space and roomy seats made of high-quality leather and suede. It’s great for smooth handling, though its power could use a little boost. It’s base price is a little higher than some of its competitors, but that doesn’t make it any less of a value for your money.
2019 Lexus RX: $43,820
This luxury 2-row SUV comes equipped with a lot of driver’s assistance and safety features, exceptional fuel economy, and a price tag well below its competitors. It doesn’t have the best handling or braking power, but it still has good acceleration and considerable engine power.
The cabin and passenger seats are comfortable and spacious, and there’s a lot of room in the back for luggage. The infotainment features are below average, lacking the Apple CarPlay or Android Auto that have become standard for modern cars, and its remote control is unreliable at times. Those aside, it still has a good speaker system for music and movie entertainment.
