2022 Ram 1500 Laramie ($48,250)
The Ram 1500 Laramie is the first trim level of the Ram 1500 centered more around comfort than work. For example, you cannot order the Laramie with Ram’s smaller four-door quad cab, just the larger four-door crew cab. You can still choose between a 6’4″ bed or a 5’7″ bed and 2WD or 4WD.
Another example is the amount of technology that comes standard on the Ram 1500 Laramie: Stellantis’ class-leading Uconnect 5 system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen (12-inch available), 7-inch premier digital driver’s gauge cluster, leather-trimmed 10-way front seats (both heated and ventilated), presets coded to individual drivers, and Alpine nine-speaker stereo system.
The Ram Laramie is also the first trim level with standard driver safety aids. Driver aids include automatic braking and parking assist.
The Laramie also offers a whole slew of exclusive upgrades. These include an ivory white pearl-coat paint, a multi-function tailgate, and air-ride suspension.
2022 Ram 1500 Rebel ($49,495)
The Ram 1500 Rebel is a very unique trim level. This truck’s appearance and features are very similar to the top-trim Ram 1500 TRX–sans the supercharged Hellcat V8.
You can only order the Ram 1500 Rebel as a crew cab with the shorter (5’7″) bed. That said, you can choose to option it as either a 2WD or 4WD truck. You can also option the Rebel with two-tone interiors and two-tone exteriors, all similar to the TRX.
In lieu of the TRX’s SRT-designed supercharged engine, you can option the Ram 1500 Rebel with the base 3.6-liter V6, 5.7-liter HEMI, or diesel V6. Cruising around in a diesel “TRX” would give you a lot of street cred–even amongst SRT die-hards.
2022 Ram 1500 Laramie or Rebel G/T (+$2,995)
New for 2022 is the Ram 1500’s available G/T package. This is a non-SRT performance and appearance package. It transforms either the Laramie or the Rebel into a very unique, racing-oriented pickup truck.
Both G/T packages include extensive speed gear: cold air intake, passive cold end exhaust, paddle shifters, and Ram’s “performance pages” real-time engine stats app. The G/T package on the Laramie also adds a 3.92 rear axle ratio and a sport performance hood (already standard on the Rebel).
The G/T package also adds a ton of visual upgrades. These include a floor console with leather-wrapped shift lever, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and bright pedals. Ram finished off both trucks with G/T exterior decals and a “G/T themed” interior.
Who knows, if the G/T package proves popular it may someday get its own trim level.
