Here’s Every Car We Know About in Fast and Furious 10
For a franchise that began a 1/4-mile at a time, Fast and Furious has somehow endured for decades. Like many of you, I’ve grown up with these films, and knowing the end is finally near makes me stop and think back. Part one of the two-part finale: Fast and Furious 10 (also called Fast X) has finished filming in London, Rome, Turin, Lisbon, and Los Angeles. The movie is set to come out on May 19th, 2023. I’ve scoured set photos, social media posts, and even spy shots of car haulers rolling into the studio. Here is every car I know about in Fast X.
1970 Dodge Charger R/T
This is easily the most iconic car in Fast and Furious history. It is the same 10-second Charger that Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) converted into a drag racer with his father. He raced it and flipped it in the climax of the first movie, restored it with the help of Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), then smashed it into a tunnel wall beneath the Mexican border in 2009’s Fast & Furious. Somehow he continues to fix it and bring it back in film after film. At least two picture cars with this Charger’s iconic BDS blower arrived at the L.A. studio, so it is likely involved in some stunts. Residents have also photographed one parked outside the Echo Park house that stands in for the Toretto family home. It looks like Dom is going back to his roots in Fast and Furious 10.

1970 Dodge Charger “Tantrum” by SpeedKore
Confusingly, there’s a second 1970 Dodge Charger that also makes an appearance in both Fast 8 and Fast 9. During filming, the cast of the eighth film actually gifted Vin Diesel a Charger-based supercar for his birthday. SpeedKore–a Wisconsin-based hotrod shop–replaced this 1970 Charger’s body with a custom job, completely made of carbon fiber. The team also dialed its engine up to 1,650 horsepower and dubbed it “Tantrum.” Vin Diesel made sure his personal Charger appeared in both the latest two Fast franchise films. But as it’s a one-off, it certainly wasn’t involved in any stunts. According to drive.com.au, Tantrum rolled up to the set of Fast and Furious 10. It may just be Vin Diesel’s commuter, but I expect he’ll find a way for it to appear in the film.

Dodge Charger Hellcat Redeye
At this point, Stellantis is a major partner of the Fast and Furious franchise. The company makes certain that Vin Diesel appears in at least one modern Dodge product in every film. It looks like in Fast X that will be the latest Dodge Charger Hellcat Redeye edition with a factory widebody kit and a gray paint job. Spectators caught this car tearing around Turin, Italy, during filming. It dodged some explosions, Alfa Romeo police cars, and even Jason Momao’s character’s Harley Davidson.

Dodge Charger SRT8
Here’s a mystery: the two Dodge Charger SRT8 cars from 2011’s Fast 5 also arrived on set. In that film, they were police cruisers that Dom and Brian O’Connor (Paul Walker) stole, painted gray, and fit with special rear bumper guards and winches so they could drag a safe across Rio during a heist. Are they back for a flashback sequence? Does Dom need to drag another safe? Are we also getting a flashback featuring the six-wheeled ramp car reminiscent of Owen Shaw’s ride in Fast 6 that was photographed on set? We’ll just have to wait for Fast and Furious 10 to find out.
Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee concept EV
This one also surprised me. Dominic Toretto is going electric. But if you think about it, Stellantis would jump at the chance to place its new eMuscle concept car in one of the world’s biggest franchises. The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee is a concept car Dodge unveiled earlier this year. But then the electric Charger cruised over to Los Angeles and into the studios where Fast and Furious 10 was filmed.

DeLorean Alpha5
Another big surprise: The DeLorean company is obviously harder to kill than a Fast and Furious character. It revealed its next-generation electric supercar back in May 2022: the Alpha5. This concept features gullwing doors and window louvers as throwbacks to the original DeLorean sports car. It was also seen rolling up to the Los Angeles set on a transport trailer. So what role will these EV concept cars play in the film? Seeing as how they are also one-of-a-kind, they probably won’t perform any dangerous stunts. Honestly, I expect a sort of epilogue scene, similar to Fast 6’s sendoff to Paul Walker, in which two characters drive these two unique cars down the road side by side.
Datsun 240Z Widebody
Another very cool car spotted on its way to set was a custom Datsun 240Z. It is painted bright yellow and has been fitted with both a widebody kit and a turbocharger. The filmmakers actually built two examples of this car, so I hope to see it in some action scenes. Many of the characters could drive this car. But Paul Walker’s Brian O’Connor was a big fan of Nissans, and as Datsun is a sub-brand of Nissan, I think the car will have a connection to him. I also suspect Brie Larson’s character (Tess) will be Brian’s sister, so perhaps she’ll drive the 240Z.
Chevrolet Impala in “Lavender”
Action star Jason Momoa is joining the Fast and Furious franchise as one of the villains of Fast X. The synopsis specifies his character’s named Dante and working with Charlize Theron’s villain (Cipher). According to Variety, Momoa said of Dante, “He’s very sadistic and androgynous and he’s a bit of a peacock… He’s got a lot of issues, this guy. He’s definitely got some daddy issues.” On his first day on the set of Fast 10, Momoa hammed it up, filming a video rolling around on the hood of Dante’s Chevrolet Impala, saying “I finally got a fast car…matches my nails…lavender looks good!”
Customized Harley Davidson Pan America
According to Metro.co.uk, Jason Momoa also rode a Harley Davidson motorcycle across the Fast and Furious 10 set in Turin. In a set video, a stunt double even jumps a bike over a new Dodge Charger. Given the franchise’s history of putting stars in vehicles that fit with their personal brand, this makes perfect sense for Harley-fan Momoa. But this streetfighter Harley looks like nothing in the 2023 lineup, so I posted a picture to Twitter and asked for input. @SamHinduPatel recognized its engine as the unreleased Revolution Max V-twin and its body as a custom one-off. Several folks recognized off-the-shelf components of the Harley Davidson Pan America. It looks like this is a one-off built for the movie, quite possibly by Harley Davidson.
Lamborghini Gallardo
During filming in Turin, set visitors shot a video of a classic Fast and Furious convoy. At its head was a gold-plated Lamborghini Gallardo. It also included a pair of navy-colored Hummers and a tractor-trailer that looks a bit like a prison transport. Who drives the gold-plated Lamborghini? It wouldn’t be out of character for Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson) but as it looks to be leading a convoy of baddies, my money is on Dante again.
Alfa Romeo 2000 GT
In the midst of the above convoy is another Italian classic: a 1970 Alfa Romeo 2000 GT. Unlike the common red 105-series Alfa (pictured), this example is painted orange and even has a black racing stripe. If the Lamborghini is Roman’s Italian car, I’d say the classic Alfa is driven by Tej Parker (Ludacris). But, in another Fast and Furious 10 scene, it looks like the two cars are racing and even attempting to crash one another. So it seems more likely that the Lambo belongs to the baddies and the Alfa belongs to a member of Dom’s crew. This means that at some point, its driver gets “captured” and forced to follow along in the bad guy convoy.
Lexus LS 500 F-Performance
Finally, there are several set videos of a Lexus LS 500 F-Performance sedan completing some tight maneuvers on city streets. This is interesting because it’s one of the few non-Stellantis cars in the film.
