But going off the grid in luxury is the name of the game for this one-off Bowlus aluminum trailer. Bowlus says that this is the ultimate recreational vehicle and who are we to argue? The Bowlus trailer was created for the Neiman Marcus 2020 Fantasy Gift list

This one-off was created for the Neiman Marcus 2020 Fantasy Gift list, the once a year celebration of excessive consumption Christmas catalog. In years past there have been special-edition cars, trucks, and even helicopters as part of the Texas-based retailer’s popular catalog. Neiman Marcus is throwing in a slew of unique products that include making suggestions to company CEO Geneva Long for personalization like no other. 

Neiman Marcus designed a coordinating kitchen. That means kitchen and table linens, cookware from Abbey Kitchen, a four-place dinnerware set, special blankets and pillows, and a pair of outdoor seats. Personalization is also applied to the flooring, seating, bedding, and awning. The camper itself is a polished aluminum, streamlined housing that dates back to the 1930s. 

Bowlus was resurrected in 2014 with a modern iteration of the Road Chief.

Similar to the Bowlus Road Chief from 1934, the company went out of business two years later. That’s the same year Airstream trailers started. Bowlus was resurrected in 2014 with a modern iteration of the Road Chief. The company is now known as a luxury camper maker. 

Beyond the $255,000 cost, the buyer will have to step up for delivery, sales tax, and any permits necessary to tow it. Neiman Marcus will donate $10,000 of the price for the Heart of Neiman Marcus charity. The charity supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
