Here’s Why Owners Aren’t Loving The 2020 Jeep Compass
The 2020 Jeep Compass is one of the most affordable options in the brand’s lineup. It isn’t as small as the Renegade and it isn’t as off-road capable as the Wrangler. The Compass sits somewhere in the middle below the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee, but it doesn’t receive as many nice comments or friendly reviews. In fact, many owners have posted about all of the reasons that they don’t like their 2020 Jeep Compass.
The 2020 Jeep Compass
If you weigh the pros and cons of every car, chances are you will at least find things to fill each column. For the 2020 Jeep Compass, the bad might just outweigh the good, at least according to some current owners. What people dislike in the Compass is part of what people find charming in the Wrangler. They have a harsh riding quality that is noisy and somewhat uncomfortable. They are also very sluggish, with no real amount of power. All of this could be said about the Wrangler, also, but people don’t seem to mind as much for that.
Redeeming qualities
There are still plenty of reasons to like the 2020 Jeep Compass. While it may not have a fancy interior, the front seats are still relatively comfortable, and the infotainment system does provide a lot of the basic features you would expect. Depending on the trim level you can get a handful of safety features that enhance the car’s driving experience, but it is far from a bargain for the price.
It isn’t ranked highly almost anywhere
Owners aren’t the only people complaining about the 2020 Jeep Compass. Websites like Consumer Reports have shared more than a few harsh criticisms of the car, but perhaps that has to do more with perspective than the car overall. In fact, if you read through a lot of the criticisms that many have with the Compass, they are the same things that people love the Wrangler for. But, perhaps the downfalls for the Compass revolve around the fact that it isn’t as off-road capable as the Wrangler.
Overall the 2020 Jeep Compass isn’t the worst car out there, and if you want to get a new Jeep without breaking your budget it is still a good option. It is one of the most affordable options in the Jeep lineup, and regardless of the vocal negativity, there are still plenty of owners that love their Compass.
