Some people like to make an entrance, but with the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392, you can create one heck of an exit. Word on the street is that the 2022 Jeep Wrangler 392 and the Ram 1500 TRX could be getting a 4LO burnout mode. 

The Jeep Wrangler 392 gets a burnout mode 

When you’re ready to blow this popsicle stand, then go big or go home with the Jeep Wrangler 392 or Ram 1500 TRX with the new 4LO burnout mode. When it comes to adding more muscle, Stellantis isn’t just spinning its tires. 

A recently discovered patent was filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and it covers a Vehicle Trie Heater and Cleaner System. Basically, it uses hydraulic brake pressure to stop the motion of one axle’s wheels to spin the other ones. 

This process cleans dirt and debris off while heating the tires up for enhanced off-roading performance. Notice how it mentions off-roading, not racing. Perhaps this indicates that the feature is for large off-roaders instead of muscle cars. 

How does the Wrangler Rubicon 392 burnout mode work? 

We’re still waiting to learn more about the 4LO burnout mode that could be for the Jeep Wrangler 392 and Ram 1500 TRX. Reportedly, the patent requires a 4LO setting and a locking front differential. 

According to Muscle Cars and Trucks, the mode seems to target the front tires. But drag racers typically spin their tries to get them clean and hot, so it’s a little odd for this feature to come to off-roading vehicles. 

Burnouts are to help vehicles launch off the line. But the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 and Ram TRX are excellent for both racing and off-roading. In fact, the Ram 1500 TRX is used to race around the desert. 

Some vehicles, like the S55O ford Mustang, have a line lock system. It locks out the rear brake lines from the pedal, so only the front brakes are used while using the brake pedal. So, once you hit the gas simultaneously, the wheels spin without moving the car. 

The Jeep Wrangler 392 will probably have a button on the dashboard that activates the setting. However, the vehicle might need to be placed in 4LO first. Then the tire heater can be accessed, and the computers will take over. 

Then the front differential will be locked as torque is sent to the front wheels as your feet hit the gas and brake pedals at the same time to heat and clean those tires. 

Why is Stellantis making a burnout mode? 

A front burnout mode may seem a little wild for the Jeep Wrangler 392 and Ram 1500 TRX, but it’s what fans want. There are literally front burnout requests, and Stellnatis is listening to customers. 

Hopefully, this tech will be safe and intuitive. We can imagine that the system will display a camera view of the tires. Also, you may hear a beep and receive a message on the infotianment system when the tires are warm and clean. 

So far, the 4LO burnout out mode has only been filed as a patent. There’s no word about if and when vehicles will get the system yet. But we will follow this story and provide you with updates.
