How are the GMC Yukon and Chevy Suburban Different?

The GMC Yukon VS the Chevy Suburban
The base model of the GMC Yukon rolls out around $50k, while the Chevy Suburban starts around $51k. We expected the Suburban to be more expensive, and we also expected these models to have more than a $1k difference in price. As you know, GMC provides the work version of luxurious Chevy vehicles.
Also, the GMC Yukon and Chevy Suburban have the same fuel economy. They both get 15 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway, which is not so great. These SUVs are so similar that it’s hard to bet on a leading horse this early in the race.

The GMC Yukon and Chevy Suburban have the same engine options. The base models come with a 5.3-liter V8 that pumps out 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. You can also upgrade to the 6.2-liter V8 for 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
When properly equipped, the Chevrolet Suburban can tow up to 8,300 lb while the GMC Yukon can tow up to 8,400 lb. So if you have something that weighs an extra 100 lb go with the Yukon. Also, both options are pretty quick. The Yukon can go from 0 to 60 in 5.6 seconds while the Suburban hits 60 mph in 5.7 seconds.

The GMC Yukon seems to be more built for capability and includes an active response four-wheel-drive system that adjusts to rapidly changing conditions. It also offers magnetic ride control to read the road and adapt to provide a smooth ride.
GMC Yukon and Chevy Suburban Features
The Chevy Suburban can seat up to nine passengers while the GMC Yukon can only seat up to 8 people. So if you have a 9th family member or friend, go with the Suburban. Also, the Yukon only has up to 94,7 cubic feet of cargo space, while the Suburban offers up to 121.7 cubic feet of space.
The Chevy Suburban may offer a quieter ride because it has triple-sealed doors to keep the noise out and an acoustic windshield. The Yukon only has the acoustic windshield. But the GMC Yukon does offer a tri-zone automatic climate zone and head seats in the second row.
Both of these options can connect to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but the Yukon has a 15″ heads-up display. The GMC Yukon also offers two-second row monitors to keep the kiddos entertained.
Plus, the GMC Yukon and Chevy Suburban are both packed with safety features such as forward collision prevention, rear-cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and more. However, the GMC Yukon has9 camera views, including a bird’s eye view to create a safety shield. Unless you need more space, the GMC Yukon is the clear winner here. It’s simply more capable than the Chevrolet Suburban.
