It’s “buyer’s choice” when it comes to picking out the right used Honda Civic, so almost any model from the past 10 years will serve its purpose for a long time. But if you want to know any specific years, then the 2014 Civic received few complaints on Car Complaints, most of which were for body and paint issues. And if you need something older than that, then the 2012 Honda Civic received few complaints as well.

Many owners love the eighth-generation Civic, which was produced from 2006 to 2011, however, we would suggest sticking to later years of that generation should you shop for one of those.
