The Acura NSX is one of the most revered and well-known super cars ever built. Hailed as a supercar that you can drive every day, the NSX has always exotic car-like driving dynamics with the relative comfort of a Honda Accord. So we know it’s fast and comfortable, but how many mile could expect out of an Acura NSX?

The older Acura NSX has the potential to last for many miles

The Acura NSX made its initial debut in 1991 when it was created to take on the likes of Ferrari and quickly became a legendary Japanese supercar of the 90s alongside other standouts like the Toyota Supra and Mitsubishi 3000GT. The first-generation NSX was powered by a 270-hp, 3.0-liter V6 that was high-revving in nature, but is apparently just as reliable as any other engine that the automaker stuffs in the engine bays of their other cars.

Case in point: There are plenty of current first-gen Acura NSX owners with well over 100,000 miles on the clock and some of them are even pushing 200,000 miles. There are definitely some clean high-mileage examples out there, including this 1992 NSX, owned by Tyson Hugie, or even this 1994 NSX with a whopping 370,000 miles on it, which was once spotted by Doug Demuro. The exotic car’s ultimate longevity should come as no surprise considering there a currently no complaints filed about the car on Car Complaints and it looks to be relatively cheap to maintain as Repair Pal estimates an average annual repair cost of just $354.

The second-generation Acura NSX will likely last even longer

After the first-generation NSX was discontinued in 2005, it took a whole 12 years for the brand to reinvent the supercar. And in 2017, Acura released the new NSX as a hybrid supercar, powered by a tri-motor setup that’s paired to a twin-turbo V6 engine. With over 500 hp, the second-gen NSX is quite the road-going exotic as it’s able to get up to 60 mph from a standstill in less than three seconds. However, only time will tell as to how many miles anyone can get out of the new NSX.

Taking a look at Cargurus, it’s apparent that no one really drives them much as the highest mileage second-gen NSX currently for sale nationwide only has around 12,000 miles on it. But we wouldn’t be surprised to see a lot more high-mileage NSXs in the market, or at least online, over the next 10 years.

No matter which Acura NSX you choose, it won’t let you down

Now that we can see that even the older NSX’s will be alive and kicking for many years, one thing we do want to note is that if you’re looking to buy one, the prices for them have increased a lot in the past few years. Many examples are selling for anywhere from $50,000 to well over $100,000 for those low miles. But if your checkbook can handle the hefty price tag, then it’s safe to say that the NSX won’t let you down.
