That means, if you want to be the proud owner of a Sorento that surpasses 200,000-miles, you’re going to need to keep up on the Sorento’s regularly scheduled maintenance needs.

Unfortunately, we’re going to have to be the bearers of bad news once again because, according to CarEdge, the Sorento doesn’t hold its value all that well over time.

In fact, CarEdge reports that you can expect a Sorento to depreciate 61% after five years of ownership, giving it a five-year resale value of $13,253. After 10 years of ownership, CarEdge reports that the Sorento is only able to retain 20.96% of its overall value.

This means, as long as the Sorento may last, you really shouldn’t expect it to hold its value over time.

Is the Kia Sorento a good car?

Really, it all depends on what you consider a good car. While the Sorento may not be the most reliable car out there, you can expect it to last a reasonably long time. And if you don’t plan on selling it sometime down the road? Then its resale value may not matter all that much to you.
