The Lexus RX has been in the market since 1998 and has done well as the brand’s five-seat crossover. The RX originally shared the same underpinnings as the Toyota Camry at the time but it has evolved largely since. In the past two decades, the Lexus RX has gotten bigger, wider, more powerful, and even more fuel-efficient. And if you’re in the market for one, you might not know which one to choose. Here is a breakdown of the current trims levels for the 2020 Lexus RX.

Lexus RX standard equipment

When shopping for a 2020 Lexus RX, it can be helpful to know what comes on it as standard equipment. Fortunately, the RX is very well-equipped from the get-go, so even if you’re looking to get into one in its base-model form, you will have a lot of luxurious amenities. For starters, the Lexus RX comes standard with LED headlights, a power tailgate, a faux-leather interior, dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers, a rearview camera, 18-inch wheels, and the Lexus Safety System + 2.0, which is the brand’s suite of driver-assist features that includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane-departure warning.

On the infotainment end, the Lexus RX comes standard with an 8-inch screen that’s controlled via a touchpad, a 9-speaker audio system with Bluetooth, a USB port, and Apple Carplay and Android Auto capability. And under the hood, the RX comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that puts out 295 hp and 268 lb-ft of torque.

However, if you want more than what the base trim has to offer, Lexus has four other trim levels to choose from, all of which add on to the aforementioned base-trim feature list.

RX 350: This is the base trim that we listed the features for above.

RX 350 F Sport: The F Sport trim level builds on the base trim by adding an F Sport front fascia and mesh grille insert, F Sport front fender and rear-door badges, an F Sport rear valence, and black mirror housings. On the inside, the F Sport trim adds perforated leather sport front seats, aluminum interior trim, and a perforated leather steering wheel with paddle shifters.

RX 350L: You would think that the “L” in 350L would mean that this trim level has a longer wheelbase, but in actuality, it has the same 109.8-inch wheelbase as the base trim. Instead, the RX 350L adds on a power-folding third-row, tri-zone climate control, and a second-row armrest with USB ports.

RX 450h AWD: The RX 450h is the hybrid trim level for the RX line. All of the features are the same as the base trims, however, under the hood is a 3.5-liter V6 engine that’s mated to two electric motors that power the front and rear wheels. The combined power output of the powertrain is 308 hp and it’s able to achieve up to 31 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.

RX 450h L AWD: As you can likely guess, the “L” in the 450h L moniker refers to the addition of a power-folding third row and tri-zone climate control.

Pricing starts at $45,070 for the base trim and goes as high as $51,110 for the RX 450h L trim. However, the price can increase from there depending on the options packages you choose.
