Before you decide which features are most important to you, it may be helpful to see what all 2019 Honda Ridgelines come with standard. Every Ridgeline comes with a 3.5L V6 engine married with the six-speed automatic transmission.

You’ll enjoy a multi-angle rearview camera and a five-inch display screen. Every Honda Ridgeline will have a push button-start and seating arrangement that includes a 60/40-split lift-up rear seat with under-seat storage.

In the bed, every Ridgeline comes standard with the dual-action tailgate, In-Bed Trunk, and an integrated trailer hitch. It’s as if Honda set out to raise the standard bar, in terms of basic offerings — and it has.

How many trim levels are we talking about?

Honda makes selecting your Ridgeline fun by offering six trim levels, that bring safety, style, performance, and tech add-ons to the already stacked base pickup. Check out each level, with varying price points, to see which add-ons are a best-fit for you.

RT (MSRP $31,035) – Expect all the standard features mentioned above with this trim. Think of this as the baseline.

Sport (MSRP $34,435) – Take the RT model and add fog lights, smart entry, HomeLink remote systems, tri-zone climate control, and sport badging extras.

RTL (MSRP $35,915) – Imagine the Sport model upgraded with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and leather-trimmed interior. Also enjoy heated front seats, a power moonroof, 10-way lumbar driver’s seat adjustments, and a power sliding rear window.

RTL-T (MSRP $38,045) – Bring more tech to the RTL with this trim level that offers Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, and an eight-inch touchscreen.

RTL-E (MSRP $42,965) – Augment the roster of tech on the RTL-T at this level and add Blind-Spot Information System, Honda Sensing, a 540-watt Premium Audio, and the truck bed audio system, as well.

Black Edition (MSRP $44,465) – The Black Edition is all about styling preferences. You’ll have all the aforementioned bells and whistles, sharply packaged in a crystal black pearl package. Glossy black door handles, perforated black leather-appointed seats, Black Edition badging throughout, and mood-setting red ambient lighting are all upgrades with this trim level.

Extra Tip: The Intelligent Variable Torque Management All-Wheel Drive System is optional for the Sport, RTL, and RTL-T trim levels and a standard on the RTL-E and the Black Edition.

Which trim level is worth the money?

You should consider how you plan to use your Ridgeline and what amenities you need in your vehicle. For the most part, many suggest that the mid-level RTL-T may just be the best value of all the trim level upgrades.

At this level, you’re getting a bump in tech and driver assistance features, without overindulging in occasional use extras. Again, it may come down to style preferences. However, the RTL-T offers the most functional options Ridgeline has to offer in performance, comfort, safety, and tech.

You won’t be disappointed with the 2019 Honda Ridgeline. There is a configuration for almost every lifestyle and working requirement. You’re sure to find a trim level within your budget, too. One thing’s for sure; you won’t miss out on amenities at any level.
