How Much Does 2020 F-150 King Ranch Cost?
If you have a big towing job to accomplish, the F-150 usually has more than enough power to get it done. Ford’s classic pickup has managed to stay at the top of its class for several years thanks to its powerful engines and high towing capacity.
The newest Ford F-150 comes in seven different trims, including the popular Lariat and luxury Platinum models. Another great trim is the King Ranch which has the perfect mix of power, luxury, and high-tech features. The King Ranch is definitely more expensive than the base model, so let’s go over its specs and see if it’s worth your money.
The King Ranch F-150 has a great engine
The engine of the King Ranch is a 5.0-liter V8 capable of 395 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. This engine is also found in the Lariat, Platinum, XL, and XLT trims. It’s paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission.
With this engine and the biggest cab size, the King Ranch can tow up to 10,200 pounds and haul up to 3,270 pounds. For more power, drivers can also choose between a 3.5-liter V6 Ecoboost engine or a Power Stroke 3.0-liter engine. The latter brings the truck’s maximum towing capacity to 11,500 pounds.
Exterior differences
At the front, the F-150 King Ranch trim has a unique grille design with surrounding chrome and the Ford badge situated between two large chrome bars. It has quad-beam LED headlights to give drivers the most visibility on the road. Drivers can also get an optional moonroof.
The taillamps in the back of the truck are also high-quality LED bulbs. The cargo box features Ford’s versatile Boxlink system, which allows drivers to efficiently secure loads of any size. The box also comes with standard LED lights on the side. Side-box steps and a tailgate step are also available.
Better technology than a standard F-150
The F-150’s interior is already very spacious, but the King Ranch has many more comfort additions. The seats are leather and can be heated and ventilated. The steering wheel is also wrapped in leather and heated.
Massaging front seats are even available. Both the center console and the cupholders can hold big items, and the ambient blue lighting inside each is a nice touch.
The infotainment screen is 8 inches and comes programmed with the SYNC 3 system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard, as well as a Wi-fi hotspot and satellite radio. The King Ranch also features the upgraded Bang and Olufsen sound system, which comes with 10 speakers and delivers 750 watts of power.
Special packages
The King Ranch comes with a standard Ford Telematics package, which monitors the health of your vehicle and reminds you to schedule regular service appointments. The Class IV Trailer Hitch package is also included, which helps you tow your trailer safely and efficiently.
The King Ranch also has a few optional color packages. The chrome and monochromatic appearance packages give you the new grille designs and more chrome accents along the exterior, including chrome-colored aluminum wheels. A trailer-tow and off-roading package are also available.
How much does the King Ranch F-150 cost?
Without any of the optional equipment, the King Ranch starts at $52,740. In contrast, the base F-150 costs around $28,000. The King Ranch is still cheaper than the Limited which costs nearly $70,000.
Given all of its upgraded features, the King Ranch is probably worth the extra $15k if you need a reliable work truck. Its only downside is that it has less standard safety offerings compared to its competitors, but it still comes with a backup camera and blind-spot monitoring with trailer coverage.
