The 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD looks to be a promising pickup. Chevy already had a great line of trucks from 2019, but they expanded them and create even better trucks for the upcoming new year. With this new line of full-size vehicles, we see plenty of standard features, but each trim package for the Silverado 2500 has some unique benefits that should make you take notice.

There are five trim levels available for the 2020 version and each one has available options to choose from. Let’s explore a few of those trim levels and see what some of the benefits are they offer to you.

Silverado High Country

The High Country trim is the premium level on the Silverado 2500 HD for those wanting a more stylish or luxury pickup truck. For the exterior, you’ll receive a chrome front grille and grille inserts along with bronze accents. On the front, you’ll find the popular bow tie brand emblem, instead of the Chevrolet name some of their other trim levels provide. You’ll also find chrome on the door handles, mirror caps, window trims, and hood scoop.

Other features include LED cargo lighting and a power tailgate that raises and lowers for you. The spray-on bed lining protects your truck investment from scratches when hauling cargo. The Chevy Silverado 2500 HD High Country only comes with 4WD, but you can choose between the standard bed or long bed size. Powering the truck is a 6.6 Liter V8 engine, which comes standard like the LTZ trim. But, if you prefer diesel motors, you can opt for the 6.6. Liter Duramax, which is a V8 turbo-diesel engine. Chevy sets the base price at $62,695, with no options, for this trim package.

LTZ trim

The LTZ also comes with a chrome front grille, but it sports both the Chevrolet name and the small bow tie emblem. You’ll also find it has the standard 18-inch aluminum wheels with all-terrain tires that grip the road for a smooth ride. It also comes with LED reflectors, headlamps, and power-adjustable trailering mirrors. The Silverado 2500 HD LTZ comes with many standard features that the High Country does. Some of those would include dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and tire pressure monitoring system.

This package comes standard with 4WD, but you can choose a 2WD version if you prefer. For a base feature, you get a six-speed transmission with the option to upgrade to an eight-speed one. You’ll also find an advanced trailering system and air filtration monitoring with the LTZ. Suggested manufacturer price for the base model without options runs you about $54,895.

Custom trim

For those who want minimal shine and a more classic look, the custom trim satisfies with black accents. You’ll find black in the tow hooks, hood scoop, door handles, mirror caps, and window trims. The only shine comes from the high-gloss black front and rear bumpers as well as the body’s glossy paint job. The front grille matches the body’s paint color and contains black mesh inserts.

This trim package is the more affordable version with fewer bells and whistles than the others, but it still offers plenty of features to keep you happy with your purchase. Some of those features include 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, brake pad wear indicator, Durabed liner, and an electronic stability control system. The suggested manufacturer price for this base trim model, without options, will run you about $45,195.

The Chevy Silverado 2500 HD promises to improve upon last year’s lineup of pickup trucks. So far, with the new features, and extended chassis, it has more than surpassed our expectations. The only problem will be in choosing between all the trim packages available. Every one of them offers plenty of satisfying features to suit anybody’s needs.
