How much is a 2022 Ram 1500 pickup truck?

The 2022 Ram 1500 price starts at $36,675. That’s for the base model, the Ram Tradesman. The Tradesman comes with a 5-inch touchscreen that, while small, “has the basics down pat,” according to Edmunds. It also has 18-inch wheels, remote entry and remote start, and an air filtration system. It also comes with a six-speaker sound system. 

There are other Ram 1500 trim levels available, including the Tradesman HFE, Big Horn, Rebel, Laramie, Longhorn, Limited, and TRX. Edmunds says that while the Big Horn doesn’t offer a whole lot more than the Tradesman, the best reason to upgrading to it is that you can then choose from better entertainment and safety packages.

Is the Ram 1500 a good pickup truck?

The 2022 Ram 1500 is a great pickup truck. The Ram 1500 is an IIHS Top Safety Pick, and the TRX trim level allows you to pack a whole lot into your pickup truck. Of course, you’ll pay for that. The 2022 Ram 1500 TRX costs $74,085. The TRX isn’t just a high-end Ram truck, though. It’s designed to be an off-road beast.

The 2022 Ram 1500 TRX comes with flared fenders, amber LED lights, and an upgraded engine cooling system. The Ram TRX also has a lifted suspension system, performance exhaust, and upgraded brakes. In addition, it comes with electronic locking rear differential and skid plates.

The Ram 1500 TRX is super high-end

There are plenty of add-ons to the 2022 Ram 1500. For example, you can add on an engine block heater. The Advanced Safety Group package will cost you $995 but give you adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, pedestrian emergency braking, and tailgate ajar warning. The Bed Utility Group gives you tie down hooks, a deployable bed-step, and a spray-in bedliner for $845. There’s also a TRX Carbon-Fiber package for $1,295 that includes a leather and carbon flat-bottom steering wheel and real carbon-fiber interior accents.

Of course, you could just select the TRX Ignition Edition for $9,200 and get 18-inch black wheels, most of the features from the safety package, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. It also adds on everything in the Bed Utility Group and the TRX Carbon-Fiber package as well as a few extras like a TRX “Special Edition” badge.

The TRX Level 2 Entertainment Group package is another expensive add-on, but may be worth it if you really love technology. For $9,995, you’ll get a 19-speaker sound system, blind-spot warning and cross-path detection, and a head up display. There’s also exterior benefits, like body-colored handles, memory mirrors, and front-door accent lighting.

In addition, the TRX Level 2 Entertainment Group package includes a digital rearview mirror, a heated steering wheel as well as heated and ventilated front and second-row seats, and leather. Remote-entry, a surround-view camera, and parking sensors are also included.

There are plenty of ways to configure the Ram truck

In addition to trim level, you have lots of options for the cab and bed of the 2022 Ram 1500. You can get a quad cab or crew cab, each with four doors and a second-row. If you get the crew cab you can choose a short or long bed, but if you opt for the quad cab, you’ll get the long bed.

There are also several engine options. There’s a 3.6-liter V6 engine that makes 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque with an eTorque hybrid system. There’s also a 5.7-liter V8 that puts out 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque that you can get with or without the hybrid eTorque. Then there’s a 3.0 turbocharged diesel V6 that can do 260 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. Finally, the 2022 Ram 1500 TRX offers a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 capable of 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Properly equipped, the Ram 1500 can tow up to 12,000 pounds. 

How is the interior of the new Ram truck?

The interior of the 2022 Ram 1500 is incredibly nice. It has a spacious and roomy interior. It’s easy to get into the Ram truck thanks to its wide doors. Passenger space is plentiful, including plenty of head and legroom. There’s an available 8.4 or 12-inch touchscreen that connects to Uconnect 5, Ram’s system which allows for over-the-air updates.

The 2022 Ram 1500 is also compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and has plenty of USB ports. You’ll get navigation with the 8.4-inch and up screen.
