The Renegade may not be the most popular Jeep model, but it does have a few loyal fans who prefer it to other vehicles. Its small size and unique Jeep characteristics help keep it in production, and the price is fairly low. Even the cost of a fully loaded 2023 Renegade is on the affordable side.

Jeep offers five trims on the 2023 Renegade. They are the Latitude, Upland, Altitude, Trailhawk, and Limited.

Things start off with the Latitude, which has a starting MSRP of $28,345. It has a 177 hp 1.3-liter inline-four turbo mair DI engine with stop/start, and it’s paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. 

The only standard exterior color offered on the Latitude is white. If you want a more vibrant color, it’ll cost you $495 extra. 

The Upland costs $29,190. It adds all-terrain tires and off-road front and rear fascias.

The Altitude is the mid-range trim, and has an MSRP of $29,345. The tires are 18-inch, as opposed to 17-inch, and it offers a premium black headline and premium-wrapped steering wheel.

The Trailhawk is more off-road ready, thanks to features like an available selec-terrain traction management system with rock mode, black painted accent roof, and an available trailer tow package. The MSRP on the Trailhawk is $32,465.

The Limited is the final trim, and we’ll discuss it in more detail.

A fully loaded 2023 Jeep Renegade is more expensive than you might think

How much does a fully loaded 2023 Jeep Renegade cost? The fast answer is a lot, but we’ll dig a little deeper to explain the exact cost.

The starting price for the Limited is $32,970. That’s rather cheap for a Jeep, but then the price begins to creep up as you add in packages and options.

If you want a black clear-coat, graphite gray, slate blue pearl-coat, or Colorado red clear-coat as your exterior paint job, it will cost $495. 

You can opt for decals by Mopar that include “BMX” and “Snowboard.” These both cost $295 a piece. 

There are also two interior premium packages by Mopar that costs $285 a piece. The High Altitude package adds 19-inch granite crystal wheels, and a few other features. 

The limited elite group adds parallel and perpendicular park and unpark-assist, LED tail lamps, and LED cornering lamps to name a few. It adds $1,145 to the total price.

Finally, there’s the sun and sound group, which is the most expensive package. It’s $2,595, and for this price, you’ll get a dual-pane panoramic power sunroof and a premium audio system.

When you add all this up, the final price is $39,375. When you consider the fact that the Wrangler starts at $31,195, and the Wagoneer costs $60,670 for the lower trims, then this obviously isn’t much. Given the economy, however, many shoppers can’t afford a fully loaded Jeep Renegade unless they get it used.

Which Jeep Renegade trim offers the best value?

The Trailhawk is probably the best trim, because for the price you get a lot of off-road-ready features. You may have to spend more to get some of these options, but you can use it to go explore the great outdoors when you get out of work. Even if you aren’t really into going off-road, it’s still nice to have options like towing a trailer.

Edmunds differs from us, and recommends the Latitude. It doesn’t have as many features as the Limited or Trailhawk, but it has a wide range of standard features that will please most shoppers. This is also the most popular trim that consumers are buying, thanks in large part to the lower price.
