From there, the bZ4x line will include the Toyota bZ4x Limited, which starts at $46,700. You’ll be able to select options like an all-wheel drive, dual-motor setup, which has the potential to increase the Toyota bZ4x price.
How much are Toyota electric cars?
Toyota has produced hybrid cars and SUVs in recent years. The 2021 Toyota Highlander Hybrid starts at $38,735, while the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid starts at $28,500. The 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime starts at $38,350.
The 2023 bZ4x will be competitive with the Chevy Bolt EUV ($33,000), the Ford Mustang Mach E ($42,895), the Volkswagen ID.4 ($39,995), the Hyundai Kona Electric ($37,390), and even the Tesla Model Y ($39,990).
Toyota has also trademarked other bZ names and is planning on releasing a series of bZ vehicles. The bZ series uses a BEV platform that is aiming for a “beyond Zero” outcome. That means that the bZ series vehicles will not only be able to run off of electricity, they’ll also be able to generate electricity.
Toyota says, “…Toyota believes in the idea of “introducing sustainable vehicles practically” and is developing a full line-up of electrified vehicles―comprising HEVs, PHEVs, BEVs, and FCEVs―in preparation to offer its customers a wide range of choices.”
What is the range of the Toyota bZ4x?
The 2023 Toyota bZ4x range depends on which powertrain and trim you opt for. However, according to Toyota, you can expect the following:
- XLE FWD: 252 miles
- XLE AWD: 228 miles
- Limited FWD: 242 miles
- Limited AWD: 222 miles
There’s good news about the bZ4x range, though, and it comes in the form of solar panels on the roof. The 2022 Toyota bZ4x can come with solar roof panels, which Toyota says will generate energy for about 1,800 km, or roughly 1,120 miles per year. On top of that, you’ll be able to charge your SUV in places other than standard charging stations. One of the benefits of solar roof panels is that your SUV can be charging even when it’s parked.
If you do choose to charge your bZ4x, it will be able to be used with a high-output charger. This will be able to charge to 80% in just 30 minutes. This is incredibly fast, and is sure to make the Toyota bZ4x more desirable.
The 2023 Toyota bZ4x promises to be an intriguing and high-performing electric SUV. With all the information that Toyota has released so far, it seems the bZ4x will be competitive with other electric SUVs in its segment. As Toyota notes, “It is significant that the popularization of eco-friendly vehicles will contribute to reductions in CO2.”
