The new 2024 Ford Mustang lineup will feature a new EcoBoost for the seventh-generation model. However, the Enviro-Stang gets a price bump for the upcoming S650 Mustang model, and some fans might not be enthused to pay the difference. So, how much does a fully loaded 2024 Ford Mustang EcoBoost like the Premium Convertible cost? Furthermore, is it worth it?

How much is a fully loaded 2024 Ford Mustang EcoBoost?

A fully loaded 2024 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Premium, the higher of the model’s two trims, starts at $36,445. Adding a convertible top to the equation will demand an additional $5,500.

Convertible trimStarting price
EcoBoost Fastback$30,920
EcoBoost Convertible$39,020
EcoBoost Premium Fastback$36,445
EcoBoost Premium Convertible$41,945

That represents a sizable jump from the EcoBoost base, which starts at around $30,920. Still, sun-obsessed fans can snag a non-Premium EcoBoost Convertible, which starts at around $39,020. As a result, pony car fans who want a fully loaded Mustang drop-top will have to contend with the Premium Convertibles’ starting point, which breaks the $40,000 threshold.

What is the Mustang EcoBoost Premium package?

The new S650 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Premium adds more technology and amenities to the base model. Specifically, Ford says the Premium gets the new 13.2-inch curved glass display that blends into its 12.4-digital display. Moreover, the Premium gets wireless device charging and dual-zone climate control.

How much is a 2024 Mustang EcoBoost Convertible?

The entry-level 2024 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Convertible starts at $39,020. However, the posher Premium Convertible bumps the price to $41,945.

The trans-generational price bump increases the Premium Convertible’s starting point from $38,295 for the 2023 model, a $3,650 increase. Moreover, the previous model year offered a non-Premium GT Convertible, so fans who wanted a budget-friendly V8 convertible could opt for a 2023 GT Convertible for over $8,000 less than the S650 model.

The 2024 Ford Mustang EcoBoost is a more efficient pony car than its V8-powered GT sibling. Moreover, the EcoBoost’s starting point makes it a more affordable option for sports car fans who don’t have a Coyote V8 on their shortlist.

Is a Mustang EcoBoost Premium worth it?

The upcoming 2024 EcoBoost Premium is cheaper and more efficient than the more powerful GT, offers a convertible option, and packs much more technology than its predecessor. Moreover, with the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger heading out of production, the EcoBoost is in a dwindling segment.

However, with a significant lineup-wide price bump, the Mustang has never been more expensive. Moreover, the EcoBoost lost its manual transmission option for the S650 generation, so fans who want an affordable driver’s car might want to check out the Toyota GR86 or Subaru BRZ for grab-a-gear driving.

The new EcoBoost wears a new face, new interior, and an extra five ponies in its horsepower stable. However, the missing manual transmission and price bump could be a deal breaker for fans. What do you think of the new model? Leave a comment below!
