The Dodge Demon is a sought-after muscle car in the horsepower hall-of-fame. Dodge immediately showcased the car’s ability to wheelie and smash records. In addition to playing motorcycle, one of the best parts of the Demon was its price point. Most vehicles at the Dodge Demon’s price point couldn’t fall off a cliff fast enough to beat it in the quarter-mile.

How much is the Dodge Demon?

When the Dodge Demon exploded onto the scene in 2018, it had a starting price of around $86,390. That sounds like a lot of money, but it was a very specific bargain. For considerably less than $100,000, you had a car that would out-accelerate every other gas-powered production vehicle in the world. However, getting your hands on one today might be a bit tricky.

How much is a Dodge Demon is a question that enthusiasts have, just like how much horsepower does it have?

Can you buy a Demon?

You can’t buy a factory Demon from Dodge right now. Unfortunately for those of you calling your banks right now, Dodge only made 3,300 Demons. The automaker made the limited-release car and stopped production. Still, if you were lucky or connected enough to snag an example, you’ve got a piece of modern muscle car history.

Today, Demons show up at auction periodically. For example, a red 2018 Dodge Demon sold at the Mecum auction in 2021 for between $115,000 and $135,000. The cars are collector’s items in every sense of the word.

How much is a Dodge Demon crate?

When the 2018 Dodge Demon came out, the automaker gave you an option to buy a crate for $1. The ‘Demon Crate,’ as it’s called, came with everything you might need to turn the road car into a drag racer. In addition to the crate, Dodge offered optional passenger seating to save weight, which you could have put back in for another $1.

If you can’t grab a Demon, consider another Dodge Challenger

Although you can’t get a Demon unless you’re wealthy, connected, or patient, you can buy something else. Dodge makes a widebody SRT Hellcat producing 717 horsepower and an SRT Hellcat Redeye producing 797 horsepower.

Still, if that isn’t enough, you can buy a Challenger SRT Super Stock. The Super Stock inches above the 800 horsepower mark into Demon territory. Specifically, the current range-topping Super Stock produces a monstrous 807 horsepower

Buy one if you can

When it came out, it was the definitive commander-in-chief of all forces in the horsepower wars. In addition to its many silly and admirable records, the Demon represents a special point in modern muscle car history. If the meaning behind the car isn’t enough to make you want a Demon, there’s the likelihood that they’ll continue to build value.

According to Kelley Blue Book (KBB), the average list price of one of these brutes is currently $120,641. Also, it is likely that given time and the industry push for electrification, low-mileage Demons might appreciate akin to a split-window Corvette or original Shelby GT350.
