How Much Will the 2021 Audi RS5 Cost?
The Audi RS5 Coupe and Sportback models are getting a refresh for the 2021 model year. Expected changes to this Audi model include new aggressive exterior styling, innovative technology, and an advanced infotainment system.
There are also two new versions of the Audi RS5 being introduced. The Ascari launch and Black Optic launch are limited edition variants of the Coupe and Sportback models. Anticipation is high for these vehicles as only 550 will be available.
With all the new upgrades and improvements, it only stands to reason that the overall cost will change as well.
The 2021 Audi RS5
RS means “Rennsport” in German or “Racing Sport.” True to its name, the 2021 Audi RS5 delivers superior performance with a 2.9-liter V6 twin-turbo engine that generates 444 hp with 443 lb-ft of torque. Going from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, the RS5 can reach a top track speed of 155 mph. The Ascari launch edition can break 174 mph.
The eight-speed quick-shifting Tiptronic transmission transfers power to the permanent Quattro all-wheel drive. All models will have a standard fixed sport suspension system, including a standard rear diffuser and tailpipe. An “RS-MODE” steering wheel button operates six different driving profiles that include: comfort, auto, dynamic, individual, RS1, and RS2. Each mode provides dynamic steering as well as quick throttle response.
Pricing structure
Audi recently released U.S. pricing for the 2021 Audi RS5 luxury vehicles, according to MotorTrend. There are several style options available, ranging in price from $75,000 to $97,000.
Specifically, the “regular” Audi RS5 Coupe will have a starting price of $75,145. The RS5 Sportback will cost a little more with an MSRP of $76,445.
There will only be 25 models of the exclusive limited edition 2021 Audi RS5 Ascari Coupe, which has an MSRP of $96,645 after a $1,045 destination charge. Audi reports that 100 limited edition RS5 Ascari Sportback models will be available for $300 more.
The 2021 Audi RS5 Black Optic Coupe has a starting price of $88,445. Only 100 of these vehicles are being manufactured. The RS5 Black Optic Sportback has the same starting price, and 325 models will be available.
Features of the new Audi RS5
The Audi RS6 and RS7 models inspired the enhanced front fascia of the 2021 Audi RS5. The new front-end design features a single-frame grille that is now flatter with a black honeycomb design. The wider wheel arches accentuate the improved styling. Matrix LED headlights are now standard, and there is an option to switch out to darker LEDs or Audi’s unique laser light technology.
The interior is similar to last year’s model with the familiar comfortability factor that Audi owners have come to know. Quilted fabrics, massaging front seats, and rear heated seating adds to the opulent feel of the cabin. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster provides everything a driver can want and more. The enhanced 10-inch touchscreen MIB 3 infotainment system offsets the stunning interior.
An exquisite blue metallic paint is used on the Ascari launch edition, according to CNET. The brake calipers are also painted blue to highlight the ceramic rotors. Standard features include the Audi Dynamic Steering, RS sport suspension, and RS sport exhaust.
The Black Optic edition comes with glossy black 20-inch wheels to complement the all-black exterior. For those not wanting to go so dark, there will also be a red hue and two gray color options. For this model, standard features include Dynamic Ride Control as well as RS sport suspension and RS sport exhaust.
The highly anticipated 2021 Audi RS5 defines comfort and sophistication and promises to be a top contender in the luxury vehicle market.
