The numbers are in, and it looks like you can trust the 2023 Kia Telluride as a reliable family SUV. The Telluride scored an 85 out of 100 for reliability from J.D.Power, which is an excellent score.
But we also took a look at Consumer Reports, where the Telluride earned another above-average score. Since it came out in 2020, people haven’t reported many problems.
Based on reports from owners, the 2020 Telluride struggled with ver minor engine problems and in-car electronic issues. But there are fewer reports of these types of malfunctions in newer model years, indicating that they may have been corrected.
How many miles will a Telluride last?
With proper care and maintenance, the 2023 Kia Telluride could make it past 200,000 miles. It could even make it to 250,000 miles. However, some models might not have been on the road long enough to accrue this much mileage.
This is slightly behind the competition. For example, the Toyota Highlander can make it past 300,000 miles with the right care. About 20 percent of Highlander owners still drive their SUVs after 15 years.

Based on the number of issues posted, the 2023 Kia Telluride should be smooth sailing. The 2020 Telluride has the most complaints listed, with about 400 reports of trouble. Both the 2021 and 2022 models have fewer complaints.
The biggest Kia Telluride problem is related to the windshield. Drivers would notice cracks and chips before accruing 7,500 miles. Some people had to replace the windshield three times before it could withstand minor impacts.
Kia replaced the Telluride windshields at no cost to owners, and 2021 and 2022 don’t seem to be affected by this problem. Windshields are a pretty easy problem to fix, as long as the inventory is there.
